RJB Posted September 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2013 We were on in May? June and she seemed perfect. What could they add? Going again in Feb. Very happy with the way the ship is. :):):)
Rare LHT28 Posted September 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Oceania usually does a refurbish/drydock every 3 yrs so if you find out when the last one was you will have an idea when the next one will be ;)
Arusha Posted September 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2013 The Marina was drydocked less than a year ago, last November: http://www.dnv.com/industry/maritime/publicationsanddownloads/publications/updates/cruise/2013/01_2013/ticking_boxes_for_energyconservation.asp

orchestrapal Posted September 11, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 11, 2013 if she needed a little lipstick before then???? On Oceania that's done on a daily basis, just our experience.
pacheco18 Posted September 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Since the 3 R ships are getting a major overhaul in 2014, I would not bet on any drydock for the newer ships. Just my opinion.
Arusha Posted September 11, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2013 if she needed a little lipstick before then???? To echo a previous poster, my experience on Regatta (2 cruises in the past year) is that upkeep is done constantly. For example, during a 10-day Alaska cruise in May, they painted the exterior railing in the Terrace Cafe and repointed tiles in the pool. Maintenance personnel are always inspecting lights and other fixtures on deck. And that's just what I happened to notice, not really looking. I'm sure there were other "lipstick" maintenance activities going on that I was oblivious to.
hypercafe Posted September 11, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2013 The OP here just asked a simple question, implying nothing. The simple answer is no or yes with a date if you are informed.
brian_uk Posted September 12, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 12, 2013 The OP here just asked a simple question, implying nothing. The simple answer is no or yes with a date if you are informed. You might just as well say that about any request for answers. People like to express their views. Once answered why does anybody else have to say anything.....cause they want to !!
