MUTS Juneau

Alaska imposes restrictions on outside noise when the ships are in port or in ecologically sensitive areas (Glacier Bay etc....)

Also, the activities (in this case movies) is are scheduled in advance of the ship arriving and finding perfect weather.

Can't always believe weather predictions.

Both of these reasons. MUTS can be very, very loud, even on a balcony several decks below (Caribe). I thought it was my neighbor being a jerk and blasting their TV with the door open but since they weren't there and the door was closed, I realized it was MUTS. So loud and disruptive that I had to go inside.

Some ports have noise restrictions and since the MUTS is quite loud, Juneau for one will not allow it. When we boarded in Seattle for one of our AK cruises, we were told that the sailaway party on the Lido deck would not have a band/music as it is restricted in the Seattle harbor due to noise.
