izzypooch Posted September 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Can anyone who has recently done this confirm whether or not you can cash travelers checks at guest services on Oasis? We will be using a credit card to set up our sail and sign card. I'm talking about cashing $200 or $300 each day for casino play and or spending in port. Thanks. Jan_In_Maine Posted September 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2013 We used them on the Oasis in August ... I had once that I wanted to cash $1000 (some for us ... some to pay on account) ... first time they would do that ... said we could only do $900 per day. Daghis Posted September 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2013 According to the FAQ: Foreign Currency and Travelers Checks:Guests cannot exchange more than USD $950 in travelers checks and foreign currency per day. Guests can only exchange foreign currency and travelers checks for cash at the Guest Relations or Guest Services Desk. Guests can only exchange foreign currency and travelers checks for chips and tokens in the Casino.
Ashland Posted September 16, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2013 We also cash traveler's checks onboard...easier/safer than carrying all that extra cash...This worked out great for us in Northern Europe Baltics, Western Med & Caribbean cruises.
