Club Royale - rebate?

Recommended Posts

Just took my second cruise and I understand there will be a rebate available on my next cruise from money spent in the casino. I didn't get a rebate from my first cruise as it was a comped cruise through M Life.

I earned 2750 points - can anyone tell me what kind of a rebate I could expect with that.

Also, is that rebate ONLY available if you sail on the same ship, or is it available on any ship.

Thanks.

You probably will get a better response if you post your question in the Cruise Casinos section of the Cruise Conversation forum.

I can tell you what I was told.

Your rebate can be used on any ship once you have made a booking. By calling Club Royale, the amount can be used towards the cost of the cruise or as cash rebate once you are onboard.

You must join the Club while onboard. They told me on the Freedom that I had to earn 2100 points, on a seven day cruise.

I asked about how the points earned would be converted to a rebate and was told that it

is not based on points but on the theoretical.

Having said that, I was awarded $350 for my nearly 2200 points earned.

On a recent 3 day Enchantment cruise, I earned just over 1000 points and have $150.00

towards my next cruise.

I have found that the folks at the Club Royale are very pleasant and happy to answer all of your questions.

It's available on any RC ship and 2750 will get you about 200.00.

Thanks for the info. I will give them a call today. I was actually invited to be a member of Club Royale on my first cruise - so I'm already a member.

350.00 is way high but if that's what RCL gave you, good for you!

I just did call, as I had another issue to discuss with them, and I guess it's a bit early to find out as I just took the cruise on 10/11/13. She did say though, that it was based on hours gambled and amount bet.

I don't know how many points I earned on the Allure last year, but I have $625 in cash waiting for me on the Independence in January. I don't really play slots, and ended up getting quite lucky at the Ultimate Texas Hold em and BJ tables, so that may be why its such a large amount.

Allure and Oasis rebates always seem higher.I was told there point and reward tracking system is 100% automated ,on the other ships it is not so there is flexibility with hosts and casino mngr.I play table games and never really variate my play.My rebates are all over the spectrum.I just email my Res number to club Rroyale and rebate is always just waiting at casino cage.Important to always mk contact with casino mngr before playing everyday otherwise your play slips thru cracks. Slot play is obviously different . Remember play to win not to get free drink LOL

If that's your rebate it is definitely a lot better than they gave me. I had something like 12,000 points and only got $700 and a few free drink coupons. I was pretty disappointed as I dropped a lot of money in there. The casino host we had wasn't too great though and barely visible except when she was running slot tournaments.

Sorry for sounding silly, but, how much do you need to spend on the slots to get 2750 points, approximately?

It really depends. It's now how much you spend, it's how much play you get from what you do spend. I can tell you that on my first cruise I only earned a little over 2,000 points, and spent FAR more than I did on this cruise where I earned 2,750 - as I was much luckier on this cruise. I actually hit 4 Aces with a kicker for $2,000.

But I was there all 3 days of the cruise - I probably spent 10 hours in the casino - maybe a little more.

The drink coupons are my pet peeve.Im at a table required to bet 50$ a hand to qualify for rebate.Win or lose I can afford my drinks .My normal bet when winning is higher and the hosts make it seem like I need to ask for a drink. When finaly offered one I say thank you but always buy drinks for others at table with coupons then buy my own.The coupon system is a few years old ,prior to that there was a club Royale card. With the card you just ordered your drink no charge. I'm not gambling for drinks but do enjoy drinks while Gambling.I always let host or casino mngr know I'm in casino playing He should automatically offer me a drink or drinks they call us club members and VIPs .I've been told casino div. pays full price to hotel div for that drink. Also the more drinks you have it is calculated against rebate. My rant for today LOL

I once talked with the casino host about how they compute the cash rebate and she gave me a list of many variables (time, average bet, frequency, etc.) that all factor in to the available Club Royale benefits including the cash rebate. The bottom line, though, is that the points that are automatically calculated by their system is probably a pretty good representation. After all, more points equals more gambling which leads to a higher rebate.

I just did a quick calculation of my upcoming rebate compared with how many points I earned during my last cruise, and it looks like I'm getting about $0.14/point.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, I did call today to find out my rebate amount - $225. But it doesn't really matter as you can't combine Club Royale benefits with M life benefits. So I didn't earn a rebate on my first cruise as it was a comp. I paid for my second cruise and earned a rebate - but now I can't use it as my third cruise will be comped again. Just an FYI.

But it does sound like the partnership will continue into 2014 and I can go ahead and book my 4 or 5 night comped cruise for 2014.
