OnTheGo1202 Posted November 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) We are cruising on the Glory in January and realized that Pete Leibenberg will be the cruise director? No ones seems to have heard of him. We were spoiled by Josh and Butch on our past two cruises. Edited November 3, 2013 by OnTheGo1202

Rare jimbo5544 Posted November 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2013 We are cruising on the Glory in January and realized that Pete Leibenberg will be the cruise director? No ones seems to have heard of him. We were spoiled by Josh and Butch on our past two cruises. They have had a fair amount of changes in the CD area lately. We sailed with Butch twice, to be honest, we were not all that impressed.
frazzledrazzle16 Posted November 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2013 We were on the 10/26 Breeze sailing and I believe Pete Leibenberg is going by Pete De Vil. He was a nice guy but nothing special.
golfadj Posted November 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2013 They seem to be having a lot of turnover among CD's lately. Will see Pete for first time in Feb.
Colorado Kat Posted November 4, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2013 Is there any place we can look to find out how the CD is? Say within Carnival.com? I'm wondering about the Dream in Jan 2014.

I found the CD schedule thru Feb. on John Heald's blog. Look for the link at the bottom right of the page (under John's Help Desk). CD Schedule: http://johnhealdsblog.com/etc/cdschedule_201308-201408.pdf John Heald's blog: http://johnhealdsblog.com/ The whole schedule is changing because of retirements and people leaving. Good for them but bad for the cruising public.
sunsetme Posted November 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2013 just off breeze, he is not the greatest but the asst cd was most annoying!
valandemmy Posted November 9, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 9, 2013 We liked Pete a lot. He seemed to always be around the ship, was very approachable. Took time out to talk to my kids and ask how they were enjoying the ship. This was on the Ecstasy, not sure how he would do on a much larger ship...but he was one of the few CD we enjoyed. riffatsea Posted November 9, 2013 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2013 We have never felt that the cruise director impacted our enjoyment of a cruise at all! Well. some of them made very annoying announcements but other than that we don't care who is "directing" our cruise!
