Signet Posted November 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I am in the process of planning a cruise (Holland America, probably) in spring of 2014.. One question is; What is the earliest flight time I should book coming back home to the USA. One that would not stress us out about having to make the flight. There is a flight at 12: 30ish .. Is this doable, without a mad mad rush to the airport? If not what is the earliest you would recommend booking (can not stay over night after the cruise, have to leave the same day). The other question is getting to the airport, do you recommend the cruise line transportation, private transport, or I have read of a train as we'll... Any info is appreciated, thanks
CruiserBruce Posted November 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2013 If you come over to the Italy board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=595 you will see these topics discussed extensively. You can make a 12:30 flight fine, although not via train.

Rare Keith1010 Posted November 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2013 As CrusierBruce said a 12:30 flight is very doable. I would arrange for a private car transfer. Keith
Rare puppycanducruise Posted November 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2013 We were on a HAL cruise, ending in Civitavecchia (sp?) in May. We used the cruise line transfer back to Rome airport for a 2:30 flight. Waited a couple of hours at the airport, so I think a 12:30 flight was definitely doable.
