Just booked the a 7 day on the legend for February. The kids are going to my parents and the wife and I are having a "grown up" vacation. I just feel better when I have a cruise booked. Nothing like seeing that little red "days till sailing" number when I sign in to carnivals website.

We just took our kids on Sunshine last week and are now booked for just us on a 4day Triumph in march for our 15th anniversary. Our first trip without kids and while I'm nervous I'm also excited!

Im not punishing the kids. I just took them on a 7 day on the Dream this past september. and on the Fascination the Sept before that. This one is for the wife and I to "recharge". My kids are spoiled rotten expecially at my parents house and get anything they want over there. They are plenty excited about their "vacation" at Mimi's House.

I agree you are not punishing your kids, husbands and wives need some alone time, not that we don't love our kids but to many marriages are not working out for so many reasons, enjoy your time together and if your kids are like mine that told dh and I GOOD go ahead.:eek: ENJOY!!!!!!!:D

I know way too many people who are divorced and part of the reason is they get too consumed with being mom and dad instead if husband and wife. That's why we try to do a kid-free vacation at least once a year.
