maureencruiser Posted December 16, 2013 Author #152 Share Posted December 16, 2013 As they performed, leaves would fall off of their costumes. Back on terra firma. I was so worn out by this performance, I had to get some peach cobbler with vanilla sauce. Another towel animal, is it a dinosaur?
maureencruiser Posted December 16, 2013 Author #153 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Someone is in love! Now, everyone has to ride the dinosaur. Tonight, there was a poolside deck party. It had been raining and the deck looked very slippery to me. Darryl Dyball, the Activities Manager. He is fabulous! So fun and energetic, I can't take my eyes off him. Here he is hamming it up for the camera. Sorry for the bad quality, just wanted you to see Darryl. After getting my pics, I headed off to bed. Stella777 Posted December 16, 2013 #154 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Hi Stella, I had checked out the Bead Brigade when you mentioned them before. Why the BB, do you all make jewelry or something? I don't know when I can cruise again, finances are really tight. Unless someone wants to start a FB group, Let's Send Maureen on a Cruise! No,we don't make any jewlery:D. We are the Bead Brigade because we wear beads on the first day of the cruise to reckonize each other. The group is continually growing with new people every cruise. I joined them two years ago. We do some things together on the cruise and you are free to do your own thing to.Our cruise in 2014 will consist of a bar hop with a card given at each bar and the winning hand gets the money at the end. We will also do a cabin crawl and anyone can showcase each level of cabin they are in. I have an oceanview so I'll show that. We will be doing a Meet and Mingle with a gift exchange. We will also be doing a slot pull with a lunch afterwards for anyone who wants to get together. This is just some of the things we will do as a group. There is a forum called the "Bead Brigade" and we stay in touch and do luncheons and dinners at various locations between Baltimore and Washington and Virginia. So glad to be able to share a little about this fun-loving group.
Stella777 Posted December 16, 2013 #155 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Just an added note. The Bead Brigade is made up of both men and women and is not just a ladies group of crusiers:D.

maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #160 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Tuesday was CocoCay Day, and the weather was perfect. Step one was scaring Stewart the steward. This is Stewart, he was very nice. This was the steward down the hall, I never learned his name, but, we always said Hello. Oh, Boo, he is delivering luggage tags! A long day at the beach requires a good breakfast, You know why I have two kinds of potatoes, I don't know why I needed 2 kinds of meat. This was my view as I ate. Our sister ship, the Enchantment was in CocoCay with us. After all that meat and potatoes I decided to healthy it up a bit.

maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #164 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Riding over to CCC. Love me tender, Love me true, All my dreams fulfilled. Take me over to CocoCay And happy I will be. (It IS pronounced Key, not Kay;)) We have arrived! This is where I wandered to, look at the throngs of people! I opened up my deck chair and look who popped out! A genie!! I wonder how long he was trapped in the chair? Now, he had to grant me three wishes! I wish to come back to CCC soon. I wish to go back on the Allure. I'm keeping the third wish private for now.
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #165 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Found a nice spot in the shade, this porcelain skin of mine! My view up above. A beautiful breeze was blowing, it was idyllic. My view to the left. My view to the right. A ****** commercial. Oh, no, it was my view to the front. Hmmm, interesting! CC blocked the name of the ED drug I was referencing. That's odd, people mention brand name drugs on CC all the time, Dramamine, Advil, Tylenol. Oh, well, you can't fight city hall. :D
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #166 Share Posted December 17, 2013 This guy was walking around selling CocoLococs. Note the bottle of rum. Also note, where does his shirt end and his tattoo begin? All you people who say you would never go on a cruise because it is too crowded, yeah, you're right, don't do it. So, this is where sparkling water comes from. Yeah, don't come here, there's too many people. Bumper to bumper traffic. These guys were driving around selling and yelling, "Cold beer and ice cold waters. Cold beer and ice cold waters!" Why would the water be colder than the beer? Is the density of the water less, so, it cools easier? Is it the specific gravity of the beer? Any physicists out there wanna weigh in?
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #167 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Pretty trees. After a while, I had to go to the basketball court, I mean the restroom. One of the local watering holes. Where else would you see 5 girls in bikinis in Santa hats? And their two friends, also in Santa hats, rubbing lotion on each other? I watched this for about 30 minutes.
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #168 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Much too crowded, I think there may be more birds than people in this photo. In the background, you can see a Norwegian ship at Great Stirrup Cay. A perfect day. I wish RC had weekend cruises that just came to CCC and stayed overnight, I would book that in a hot minute. And, no, that is not my third Lizard Genie wish. Lunch time! That chicken was a real jerk!
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #169 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I thought that was Gingerbread to celebrate the season. It was banana. :( I don't know why my cookie only has 3 chocolate ships and they are lined up in a single row. Have the bean counters from the front office moved into the kitchen? I just proofread this and saw that I wrote ships, instead of chips! I like it, I'm keeping it!! :p I just took a break from writing and posting and got some orange juice from a bottle I bought before I went away. It's either starting to go rancid or someone put vodka in it while I was away. I'm not sure which, but, I'm drinking it anyway. I'm a sailor, I don't want to get scurvy! Another critter- this therapy dog was on my ship, but, I hadn't seen him before today. Wandering around after lunch, contemplating my next move. maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #170 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Another critter - he must have been on the Enchantment, because I never saw him again. He looks hotter than the little guy. Little guy knows how to stay cool, must be his Mexican upbringing. They announced we were going to play Island Games: Grandeur vs Enchantment. The first event was a hula hoop contest. The Enchantment had the blue hula hoops and Lady G had the red. That little girl and that woman must be some kind of hula hoop ringers. They were incredible. More contestants - hoops are hitting the sand fast! The two ringers, strutting their stuff!
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #171 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Finally, a real contender from Lady G. Swing those hips! Still hoopin' Get down on your knees and keep hoopin' They're doing it! Now, get up! There is where the little girl stumbled.
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #172 Share Posted December 17, 2013 The ringer from Lady E eventually won. Next, a series of relay races. First up was the sack race. Lady G struggling. This guy was nice. I was with him and his wife for a while. She competed for Lady G by mistake in the Hula Hoop contest because she didn't realize it was G vs E. Her husband said he would have done better than she did on the hoop , so, we made him compete in the races. Hurry, we're losing! I called him Kangaroo Jack. maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #173 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Lady E was so far ahead at this point, the emcee stopped him for an interview to try and let us catch up. Here comes Mr Trouble, our only hope! They've actually lapped us at this point and then this lady fell. She was limping, I hope she is OK. Now, running with a tennis ball under your chin and passing it to the next guy. Look at my friend! He runs like the wind! Well, the wind with a tennis ball under its chin. They're beating us again. Mr Trouble, RUN!!
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #174 Share Posted December 17, 2013 This guy, struggling to hang onto his ball. Chalk up another loss for Lady G. Finally, a race we could excel in. Run with a RC keychain clenched between your buttocks and then poop it into a glass! Finally, high class entertainment and more importantly, we have found our niche. They're neck and neck (or butt and butt). And she's off! Like most men, his aim around the toilet is lacking. He was moving about an inch at a time. This picture was taken about 5 minutes later. Success!!
maureencruiser Posted December 17, 2013 Author #175 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Kangaroo Jack, walking sideways. Mr Trouble - look at the concentration on his face! With arms like that, just imagine how strong his butt must be! We won, Thank You, Mr Trouble!! The last race, blow up a balloon then run down and break it between yourself and the team captain. Look at his face, I think he is enjoying this! Gotta line that balloon up just so. Kangaroo Jack got in and out of there quickly.
