wannagonow123 Posted December 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Thinking of booking the Miracle in March. Since the ship overnights in Puerta Vallarta, I assume the casino will be closed that night?
4realrod Posted December 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Thinking of booking the Miracle in March. Since the ship overnights in Puerta Vallarta, I assume the casino will be closed that night? That is correct. Across the street from the pier in PV is the Galleria shopping mall. Inside the mall is a casino.
xplnusa Posted December 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I'm also eyeing a cruise that has an overnight in PV. Are you able to enter and leave all night while you're there?

Yep, come and go as you please. We returned to the ship about 1 am, no problems.
dramaqueenjan Posted December 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2013 I would much prefer an overnight in Pv to 2 days Cabo..I loved it there
deborahjo Posted December 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2013 We did this in December of last year. It was okay. Would not do again personally. To much of the ship is shut down.

GROUCHPUSS Posted December 14, 2013 #8 Share Posted December 14, 2013 If you over night check this place out for a sunset dinner, it is great! http://www.lekliff.com/en/index.html
xplnusa Posted December 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted December 14, 2013 :eek::eek: I hope the prices on that website are in pesos!!!:eek::eek:
riffatsea Posted December 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 14, 2013 Looks delicious!! Just divide all the prices by about 12.8 and you'll get the price in USA $$s. In Cabo the ship leaves and goes out to sea but in Puerto Vallarta they are actually docked all night so you can"party on shore" if you like. We are not partyers but being there at night will be a new experience for us to try!!
LSGDRG Posted December 14, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) You may want to consider having dinner in town. Back in 2008, my husband & I had a romantic dinner on the beach @ La Palapa. http://www.lapalapapv.com Edited December 14, 2013 by LSGDRG

xbatt8 Posted December 15, 2013 #13 Share Posted December 15, 2013 We did this in December of last year. It was okay. Would not do again personally. To much of the ship is shut down. Besides the casino, what else is shut down? Bob
4realrod Posted December 15, 2013 #14 Share Posted December 15, 2013 Besides the casino, what else is shut down? Bob The shops are closed. Otherwise the ship is open. We were on the Splendor in January and were overnight for scheduled maintenance. The repair took longer than expected and we got to a second night and third day in PV. The cruise turned into an 8 day. It was great. We have been to tne MR several times and love PV. Lots to do.
SadieN Posted December 15, 2013 #15 Share Posted December 15, 2013 That is correct. Across the street from the pier in PV is the Galleria shopping mall. Inside the mall is a casino. Mom just got back from the Dec 1 cruise. The 2 casinos in PV are gone.:(
