John Henry on CC Posted December 17, 2013 #10 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Have seen him twice. Liked him in the role a lot. Liked him at the special show in the VCL, too.
mm1251 Posted December 17, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Jim was great as Edna! He's no Devine, but we thought he was great (better than good).

babyher Posted December 18, 2013 #13 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Jim was great as Edna! He's no Devine, but we thought he was great (better than good). I am sure most of the Ednas are good in their own way. I was fortunate enough to see Harvey Feirstein (sp) in the original on Broadway. He was THE Edna. After the performance all the cast got on stage and they did a little auction of autographs and some props for Boradway Cares (an AIDS charity that was started by Broadway performers and workers) He had the place rolling in the aisles *LOL*
canuckcruiselover Posted December 18, 2013 #14 Share Posted December 18, 2013 I don't know who played Edna on the December 7-14 sailing but he was very good.
Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted December 18, 2013 #15 Share Posted December 18, 2013 We talked to him during our June sailing. They do 7 month tours and he was scheduled to finish his tour sometime in September. So he won't be back on board until April at the earliest (if he joins that cast). The Big Booper Posted December 18, 2013 #16 Share Posted December 18, 2013 We were on the Oasis in September for his last week. He gave a farewell show in the VCL along with the actress who played the best friend of Tracy. She also was leaving along with her husband who was the drummer in the theater band. We thought he was very good and don't understand the animosity towards him.
hoff624 Posted December 20, 2013 Author #17 Share Posted December 20, 2013 thank you. I just want to know if he was still there. Will not influence my decision.
Merion_Mom Posted December 20, 2013 #18 Share Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) We talked to him during our June sailing. They do 7 month tours and he was scheduled to finish his tour sometime in September. So he won't be back on board until April at the earliest (if he joins that cast). I was told by someone (everyone's favorite: a VERY reliable source) that he does not intend to return.
