We are sailing on the Emeraild transatlatic in April and hope to leave the ship early in Dublin, I have made a request with Princess to do this, has anyone ever had this sort of request turnrd down.

Main reason for turndowns is if the country you want to get off in does not allow it. For instance, most cruises that are round trip from a US port, you cannot get off in another US port.

In Europe, this is fairly common. On British Isles cruises, quite a few disembark in Le Havre. Princess has to make arrangements with the local Customs people at the port. When disembarking early, make sure you have "Plan B" in place in case the ship misses the port. It's always possible.

I doubt you'll have a problem. Dublin is part of the EU and if it was okay for people to get off in LeHavre (lots & lots of people) on my British Isles cruise, then I'd think it would be fine in Dublin.

Anyone not get it approved for Europe as a US citizen?
