We were on the Infinity TA during the Nov. 3 solar eclipse that was visible in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. We thought Celebrity missed a good marketing opportunity not having the Eclipse there for the eclipse. :)

That would be so cool to be on board the Solstice during the Winter Solstice, which also happens to be my birthday:eek:

Or on the Eclipse during an Eclipse would be fun!

We were on the Solstice on the summer solstice. We got a letter from Celebrity saying we did the summer solstice on the Solstice. Richard

We were on the Equinox for the spring equinox and Celebrity didn't do anything special. I think they missed an opportunity.

We were aboard the Solstice last year from Dec. 10 through Dec. 23 (in Australia and New Zealand), during the Summer Solstice. Nothing was said, nothing was done. Again, a missed opportunity. (I guess everyone was so busy planning for Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year's that it never occurred to X to commemorate the occasion.)

 

Whether you are celebrating the Summer Solstice down under, or the Winter Solstice (up and over), Happy Holidays to all.

We were also expecting something special when we visited Valetta on the Silhouette during our last Mediterranean cruise, because Valetta is the home port of most Celebrity ships. To our knowledge, it was not even mentioned. Another missed opportunity.
