getting to ship from hotel in Manaus

We will be staying at the Hotel Central Manaus. It is, supposedly, .3 miles from the port of Manaus. Any suggestions on how to get there? Taxi, walk, etc.? We will be on the Pacific Princess.

Unfortunately, I don't believe they pick up from hotels. They are from the airport to the pier on the day of embarkation and we are flying in 2 days early.

I have just looked at it on google maps. I would take a taxi because of your luggage.

 

The area near the cruise dock is very crowded with street- food - boat supply - clothing - shoe - everything markets, trucks and a very busy open-air bus terminal. The cruise terminal is used by residents and local out-of-towners as a hang-out and fast food place.

 

Our ship had to dock at the commercial dock next to the cruise ship dock and we needed a shuttle bus to get to the ship. Our excursion busses were permitted in so - I assume - are taxis.

 

I thought that the docks and markets of Manaus were absolutely fascinating. It was my first South American city.
