They were great, lasted the whole cruise and all in all it was well worth the money. Trying to find how to book it on the website is difficult though. Everything should be there. It's not there. That's the thing. I wonder if it has been discontinued. I was just on Allure in Dec., and the packages were there. You also used to be able to 'shop' Gifts and Gear from the Pre Cruise Planner in your active reservation, but although Gifts and Gear is still listed, there's no button so you can't go there. You can still get other things going to Gifts and Gear under Before You Board, but there are no flowers anymore and no Romance packages. jmf123 Posted January 4, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2014 crmallett, since the packages aren't appearing on Gifts & Gear at this time, I would suggest giving RCI's 'bon voyage' department a call at (800) 722-5443. They can advise of availability, and take your order for what is available. Romance packages are still missing. Still no answer from RCCL as to what is happening, but I have emailed them to find out more. For all the WOW factors RCCL have with their ships, there is definitely a lack of WOW with their Gifts & Gear. I figure our TA will owe us another gift worth $100. The overwhelming amount of freebies is why we went with a large online TA for the Allure cruise instead of my usual small TA. I sail with them because of the "Wow" factor. Yesterday I received a email stating that the flowers were not available and would they would just give me the decorations. I wonder why Gifts & Gear could not have given that answer / explanation instead of "Place another order." I really wish there was more 'WOW' in the Gifts & Gear selections. I still have no idea what I will or will not get when I get on the ship. The TA promised us a romance package (or as I like to call it, a $100 non-romantic package of food & stuff) so if we don't get that, maybe RCI will just give it to us as OBC? I'd think they'd have to refund the money to the TA though. Not sure how this would be handled and nobody can tell me. I am NEVER straying from my small TA ever again. It is disappointing that they have decided to discontinue this. I wonder if the agricultural restrictions of various countries had something to do with the decision. I have a big event planned as a royal romance package that includes flowers and also have special flowers ordered. I have not heard a word the flowers were cancelled. I will call them today.
