Any idea of the cost for our upcoming 10 day cruise on Noordam. It does include a pressing service but not dry cleaning. We have sent slacks out for pressing. laundered items are returned pressed. Eboracum_d Posted January 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2014 I am sure my DJ was dry cleaned on Ryndam last year without any additional charge to me.
catl331 Posted January 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) It does include a pressing service but not dry cleaning. We have sent slacks out for pressing. laundered items are returned pressed. There seems to be a difference of opinion here: While everything you send out to be laundered comes back pressed (when appropriate), the laundry package does not include pressing for items that are customarily dry cleaned and only require pressing. We've never bought the unlimited and can't say from personal experience. It may be one of these things that vary from ship to ship or time to time. jimmy2x Posted January 25, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Including pressing would be great. Hopefully, we won't need dry-cleaning. Thanks to all for the quick help.:)
rescueranger Posted January 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2014 If you don't need daily washing use the bag of laundry for $20. You can stuff as much as you can get into the bag for $20 and it will also be ironed and brought back on hangers for pants and shirts blouses. It is a good deal. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 25, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Don't know how much laundry you are going to send out. But your Noordam cruise is in February -- Caribbean. Laundry by the bag will be $20 -- and some people claim that they can get really a lot in the bags. So is you send out 2 bags through the cruise it will cost you $40. Unlimited laundry -- you can send out items every day until almost the end of the cruise. There is usually a 2 day cut off time. It will cost you about $7 a day -- but you will pay for all 10 days. So you have to decide what plan works best for you. You can call Ship Services and ask what the cost of the unlimited will be for your cruise. 1-800-541-1576
Typhoon1 Posted January 25, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 25, 2014 The unlimited pressing package is an additional five dollars per day per cabin. I don't recommend buying it, as laundry is delivered neatly ironed.

Purvis1231 Posted January 26, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Can someone buy the package from ship services or only on the ship ? We purchased the suite amenities package that included unlimited laundry. They did an excellent job washing and pressing our clothes. We left the ship with no dirty clothes. Alberta Quilter Posted January 26, 2014 #13 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Can someone buy the package from ship services or only on the ship ? Sent from my iPad using Forums You can do one or the other. If you pre-purchase through ship's services, you pay for it at the time right when you book it, which can help with budgeting purposes. If you buy on the ship (by ticking off the applicable box on the form) you can use your OBC (should you have any) to pay for it or it will go on your account. justluv2cruisewithhubby Posted January 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 26, 2014 We purchased the unlimited laundry package and it was the best $49.00 I spent all week. The clothes came back clean; and neatly pressed. I thought it was well worth it.
Ejelizajo Posted January 26, 2014 #16 Share Posted January 26, 2014 Departing the ship with a suitcase full of clean clothes was a real treat for us, and the unlimited laundry on our 34 day South Pacific cruise made packing much easier also. One word of caution ... All of our white synthetic washables (panties, golf shirts) were a dull grey which never came out so we had to throw those few items out. Live and Learn .... We won't bring any such items on our upcoming cruise.

The final total would have been $120.
