Have Century Questions ? Ask Here !

Hi Everyone,

I'm sailing back to back, on Celebrity Century for 11 days, starting this Wednesday. If you have Century questions, please post them on this thread. As always, I will try my very best to obtain answers.

BTW, I only request 1 question *not* be asked <smile> - Please don't ask me to find out if Century is leaving Celebrity's fleet. While I do not have a warm and fuzzy feeling about her future with Celebrity, I have nothing further to confirm, and I highly doubt that anyone onboard knows the answer... or if they do, they aren't about to share it with me :) . FWIW, I suspect our answer might be known either this week, or probably next week, as the 2015 Alaska schedule is scheduled to be announced the week of February 17th. If she's not on the Alaska deployment schedule, then we probably have our answer.

As long as the internet cooperates, I also plan to offer a "Live From Century" thread, beginning this Wednesday. I will have addtional internet minutes, thanks to the new Captains Club benefit of 200 minutes for Elite Plus members... sooooo a big "Thank You" to Celebrity !

I'm not planning on posting every day, as I'm totally exhausted and hope to get some rest... but I will post when there's good information to share with our fantastic community. We have a huge roster of Cruise Critic friends on this sailing, so I'm sure they will lend a hand, when I'm sleeping on a lovely lounger by the pool - which, I hope will be frequently :)

I look forward to your questions !

Andy, I will lend a hand on the Feb. 12th & 15th cruises with some questions and I'm sure others from the rollcall will help too. One question from someone on the Feb. 15th cruise is whether the Feb. 15th cruise will have Elite drink vouchers. I responded on the Feb. 12th rollcall that I will attempt to get an answer from the CC hostess and post on the Feb. 12th rollcall or your Live thread.

Looking forward to seeing you and your mom again beginning Wednesday.

Andy - Please let me know if the ping pong table is still outside the elevators on Deck 12! Also, can you check if the tile in the bathroom in Accessible Suite 1200 has been repaired/replaced as water was leaking up through the floor when we had booked this suite back in Nov. 2013. This was the THIRD year it was like this since we were in the suite 3 years in a row! I am just curious since NO ONE from X has ever acknowledged a 3 page letter sent to them by my TA with ALL the problems we had on this - our "Elite" status obviously meaning nothing! We have a cruise booked with X in Dec but I am about to cancel it & go back to another cruiseline ONLY because I don't like being invisible!

Sorry to unburden on you - but you did say we could ask you a question! fudged & asked 2! Sorry again!

Thanks

Quendryth (Faith)

Hi Andy,

Thanks so much for taking time out of your trip to answer our questions. I'll ask the obvious one: have you noticed any cosmetic improvements in the staterooms? New soft goods, etc?

Thanks, and enjoy your vacation! Don't work too hard on our account! :D

I'll be on the 15th. If you can (before then) answer some casino questions.

~ Do I need to brush up on my blackjack. I usually only play if I see a $5 table. Are there any?

~ Are the slot machines still coin? What denominations are there? Pennies/quarters?

Thanks so much.:)

The blackjack tables are $6.00 minimum, I believe. As far as slots, do not know, did not play! Have fun on the Century!

Hi Arielsong,

That's question #1 on my list. I'm not expecting much if anything, but will be sure to report from the ship. Stay Tuned !

Hi Faith !

I will be happy to get an answer to the Ping Pong table question for you. As for Suite 1200, that's a tough one, but will see what I can find out.

Is Murano ever open for lunch? I'm on the March 6 PC cruise.

Hi Firstplacechef,

I've added your question to my list. If Murano is open for lunch, we might dine there. Thank you, and enjoy your cruise !

Hello Host Andy, please enjoy your cruise. Can you find out the future of this fine vessel.

Hi Cruise47,

I'm guessing you didnt read my first post (just kidding !). I highly doubt anything new will be learned while onboard the ship, but in case it does, I will be sure to report back. Thank you.

Faith, The hubby and I were on the Century in Jan and we did see the Ping Pong table near the elevators on Deck 12. I hope this helps.:D

I'll be residing 11 nights on deck 12 for the Feb. 12th & 15th cruises (different floor on Feb. 23rd cruise) and I certainly will see the ping pong table if it is there. Century's is undergoing the short dry dock right now, so who knows if they will move the ping pong table or decide if that is the best place for it. Andy and/or I will report on the location of the ping pong table.

Which stateroom will you be in? We are booked 1208 for April. Excited to know what that deck will be like. Thanks! :)

Thanks Kathy!

Just remember if you & DH play make it during waking hours! That was the whole problem having tournaments outside Suite 1200 at all hours - even past midnight! It was not fun for sleepers maybe for players! It really is not a place for a table when people are getting on & off the elevators & kids are all over the floor with their games waiting to play pong!

Andy,

I'm looking to book an ocean view cabin on the Century. It seems that these rooms do not have sofas, only chairs. Can you find out if there are OV cabins with a sofa? Thanks for your help. Have a great cruise!

Thank you ! My Sister has an OV, so I will be happy to look.
