OK folks....I just spoke with HAL and was directed to the Mariner Society. Officially this Signature Plus is a new product that the Mariner Society is promoting. It is being offered on only select booked voyages and to select booked Mariners. This program is legitimate but is not a part of HAL per say. The representative I spoke with had to put me on hold to get this information so it must be very new. At any rate I am choosing to not use it at this time. I'm just relieved to find it is legitimate. :D

Thanks for the follow-up. Good to know it's legit.

Am I the only one on the Eurodam or Zuiderdam who received the above e:mail? I cannot see where the Mariner's Society has anything to do with it, as was reported by the original poster. The whole thing seems "odd." I'm wondering if this is the start of eliminating the ***** program that is in place?

As the OP I can only tell you what HAL Mariner Society representative told me. Essentially it is what you received in an e-mail. I did not receive an e-mail, but the option appeared after I logged in to my account in the Announcement area to the left of the screen prior to FQAs. We are booked on the Noordam for a TA in March. Until that booking I had never seen Signature Plus as an option. As stated, I do not plan on making use of the program unless and until there is more information available about it from HAL. I spoke with my agent today (not HAL) and she has not heard of the program either. Needless to say she is curious and is looking into it. :(
