cherbear4000 Posted March 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2014 There is a body wash and shampoo dispenser in the shower. I don't know the brand, but I always use them and think they are fine. You will need to bring conditioner.
forwardcabin Posted March 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) See the two dispensers on the shower wall? One is body wash and the other is shampoo. There is also a bar of soap provided. We don't even bring our own anymore. Edited March 3, 2014 by forwardcabin

Giantfan13 Posted March 3, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2014 The liquid soap is greenish in color, if that means anything.:eek::eek: Cheers Len
michaelandjoanne Posted March 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2014 My wife had an allergic reaction to the soap, nothing major, uncomfortable like a sun burn. She took some allergy medication and was fine the next day. Since then we always brought our own soap though. crisscruise Posted March 3, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted March 3, 2014 I have allergies too. Hoping to find out what brands they use.
Clt9488 Posted March 3, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Not sure of the brands but I am PICKY with products and I don't mind the body wash but the shampoo doesn't do it for me. Hubby had no issues with it but his hair isn't as pretty as mine. :o
Lerin Posted March 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2014 You can get small samples of Elemis(sp?) products if you book a spa room. If you have skin sensitivities, it's best to pack your own toiletries.
wb3690 Posted March 3, 2014 #11 Share Posted March 3, 2014 we have to bring our own. well my guys won't care but i do
cruise n' fool Posted March 3, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 3, 2014 The shampoo is terrible! Smells like lemon dishwashing detergent. I didn't ind the body wash. It comes in gallons and they refill. I didn't see any brand just that it was made for carnival and said carnival shampoo & carnival bodywash.
ShakyBeef Posted March 3, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 3, 2014 There was a funny thread discussing Carnival soap a few days ago: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1992659
Shipbound Posted March 3, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 3, 2014 My wife had an allergic reaction to the soap, nothing major, uncomfortable like a sun burn. Sent from my iPad using Forums I always bring my own soap it is bath size so it lasts the whole cruise. I had a reaction to ivy soap of all things, hives. h_blond2 Posted March 4, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 4, 2014 I love the body wash..smells great! I bring my own shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo just doesn't seem to work well on my hair.
SoCalKJ Posted March 5, 2014 #16 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Push! Push! Push! Push! Push!.......endlessly pushing the shampoo dispenser for enough that will bring a little lather!! I don't mind using it...heck, we pay enough for the room...but I ALWAYS bring conditioner! :-)
MuffyKismet Posted March 5, 2014 #17 Share Posted March 5, 2014 My husband could care less , I think he would use dog shampoo if he didn't know any better but I am particular so I always bring my own. Although we booked a SPA room on our next cruise so I am really looking forward to trying out the eleminis products they provide for the SPA rooms. mousey Posted March 5, 2014 #18 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I have dry skin so I always bring my own body wash. My hair is color treated so I also bring my own shampoo and conditioner. I don't know what the brand they use is, but I'm sure it's not a good quality product. Even my DH doesn't like to use it. You could always call Carnival and ask them what the brand is. Hope you have an awesome cruise!:D
maldenmusic Posted March 19, 2014 #19 Share Posted March 19, 2014 For some strange reason I LOVE the CCL shampoo and body wash. My daughter brings her own but I just use what's on board.
LandlockedCruiser01 Posted March 19, 2014 #20 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I've tried CCL's shampoo, and it's not good at all. It may wash my hair OK, but it doesn't lather and almost feels grainy on my hands. I cope by taking one travel-size bottle from the pre-cruise hotel I stay at, and it lasts me through the whole cruise. (I'm a guy, with short hair, so anything fancier than Dial or Suave is redundant for me.)
SadieN Posted March 19, 2014 #21 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Soap and shampoo does not need to lather to work. I find the shampoo to be very drying but the shower gel is fine.
sammee Posted March 19, 2014 #22 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I'll be bringing my own shampoo/conditioner and a bar of my favorite soap. Can't do without it.
dolfndreams Posted March 19, 2014 #23 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Just off the conquest and had to smile having just read the above linked thread about there not being bar soap. I did have some I brought along but almost wondered if my steward had read it. I was travelling solo and had 5 bars of soap on the counter in the bowel with the samples:D Good thing I hadn't used much space bringing extra. Still the same shampoo / body wash dispensers. Don't mind the shampoo but I always bring my own conditioner and used the bar soap.
