stargate fan Posted March 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2014 ...by having dinner at 8:15? We've had late seating for most of our cruises. We've enjoyed the time because of the days we were late in port. On our next cruise, the latest port time is 4:00 pm so we are considering trying early seating. What activities have we missed by dining late? Before anyone suggests, we have no interest Anytime Dining. We tried it and hated it. Thanks. Cruising Golfer Posted March 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Can't think of anything you might have missed. Most shows have times for early and late dining, maybe you missed that big winner in the casino(yeah right):D We like any time dining, because most times we don't eat in the M.D.R. Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about missing anything.

OCruisers Posted March 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Can't see how you'd miss anything by having Late seating except rushing to get to dinner. We always booked late before having the option of MTD. LuLu ~~~
Pesh Posted March 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Well of course this would depend on each individual cruise. All you have to do is look in the "Fun Times" to see what's scheduled during your dinner time to see what you'll be missing. You're going to miss things either way. No matter what time you eat dinner, there will probably be activities taking place during that time. That's probably why some people like anytime dining, they can arrange their dinner around their activities. Edited March 3, 2014 by Pesh
Velvetwater Posted March 3, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Hey you are on the same cruise as us in August! We often went to trivia at 7 but I cant think of anything else. Not sure what you planned for the August Cruise but early time was waitlisted.
bm6pm5 Posted March 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2014 We have always done late dining as well. Don't really think that we have missed much as the shows have a late and early seating. Plus don't like to rush back to the ship after a day in port to eat. This way we have time for a shower or drink before dinner.
txmom11 Posted March 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 3, 2014 We've done all three--early, late, and anytime. Personally, we like late best. We don't have to rush to get ready for dinner and can have a pre-dinner cocktail.
Mutumbojimbo Posted March 3, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2014 The Breeze has a pub quiz every night at 8 in the Red Frog Pub. If you like trivia it's fun, but you wouldn't be able to participate if you have the late seating.
Jaco5NC Posted March 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2014 We always have late dinner and never really feel like we are missing anything. We like to stay outside on the deck until early evening and then take our time getting ready and having cocktails. We have never really noticed missing any activities around that time.
