BLAMBKY Posted March 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2014 I have used the search (oh how i had missed it!:p) button but just want to confirm what I have found. The MDR's breakfast menu is the same everyday, along with one day set aside as chocolate breakfast. Is this correct?
rncruiser Posted March 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Yes, it is essentially the same, except there is a daily special. Other than the day of the chocolate breakfast, the special is usually some type of egg dish.

Clarea Posted March 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Why haven't I heard about this chocolate breakfast? Usually held once per cruise, no sign up required or available, just show up to the MDR for breakfast. The MDR waiter will usually tell you about it the night before. BLAMBKY Posted March 6, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted March 6, 2014 It's included :D You don't happen to have a picture of a regular breakfast menu, do you? :o For those of you that have had the chocolate breakfast, what is your favorite? I honestly do not remember what I had.... Shocking considering how much I like chocolate. Lack of remembering tells me that I was not impressed and hope to find something yummy this time around. I mean seriously, how often do you ever eat CHOCOLATE  for breakfast?! :D

TBone2K Posted March 6, 2014 #18 Share Posted March 6, 2014 I wish this has been titled chocolate breakfast so more people would notice. In all my cruises, I've never heard of it. Has this always been, or is it something they have added with the new menus?

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted March 6, 2014 #20 Share Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) It's definitely not a new innovation.... trying to search my blogs for a reference (bit of a chocaholic....) ETA I mention the chocolate breakfast in 2011 on Navigator.... I mention chocolate a lot in my blogs.... hmmmm Edited March 6, 2014 by NorbertsNiece
davy jones Posted March 6, 2014 #21 Share Posted March 6, 2014 It's included :D Milkshakes at breakfast are my idea of decadence. I'm suprised that the MDR is not overrun with thirsty children (and overgrown children like me) on those days.
DrD Posted March 6, 2014 #22 Share Posted March 6, 2014 The chocolate breakfast is mentioned in the Compass, and on these boards. Perhaps it's a reward to those who read the compass cover to cover! If I remember correctly our waiter also mentioned it the day before.

The chocolate pastries are good too if you like pastries for breakfast.
DrD Posted March 6, 2014 #24 Share Posted March 6, 2014 I mean seriously, how often do you ever eat CHOCOLATE  for breakfast?! :D About once a month at my house. Daddy's special chocolate pancakes are a big hit. I also have dark chocolate with my morning coffee almost everyday for health reasons. It's quite good for you as long as you get the low sugar, high cocoa variety.
