2littleprincesses Posted March 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2014 I thought I was all set on going on Freedom in March 2015, but I just looked at Allure in Jan and it was the same price as the Freedom! We are 2 adults, 2 dds (11, 14). We have been on one cruise on Disney Magic (Western) and we will probably not do another cruise for a few years after this. We would probably not do another Eastern either. So both doing Eastern itinerary: Allure-Jan St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Nassau 2 inside rooms Girls miss 3 days of school and sports, I miss 3 days of work, Dh misses 5 days Weather cooler? Freedom--March St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Coco Cay 2 inside rooms Girls have spring break, I miss 5 days of work, Dh misses 5 days of work. What would you do? racerxspeedy Posted March 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2014 If your not going to do another cruise for some time IMO I would pick the Allure. The ship in itself is like adding another port. The weather in Fla may not be as warm, but the rest of the trip will be warm. Either trip will be great.
thjeepster Posted March 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) We are going on the Allure in 39 days!!! So I would say Allure.....because its a great ship!!! We were on Oasis 6 months ago and loved it. But if you are looking for warmer weather you might want to go in March. Jan. can be cold here in FL......Especially on the ship when sailing. The Ports will be around 77-81 degrees. We were on a cruise a few years ago in Feb. and it was still kinda cool out.....the pools can be very cold. But it's totally up to you!!! Either way you will have an awesome time! Edited March 11, 2014 by thjeepster
PattyG12 Posted March 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2014 We were on the Freedom last March and the weather was wonderful while on the cruise but in FL it was COLD and windy. I'm guessing the chance of cooler weather would be higher in January. FWIW, We LOVE the Freedom class ships!
molly361 Posted March 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2014 For the same price and rooms I would pick the Allure. There will most likey be more kids on the March cruise.
