Seattle Hotel Near Airport

Recommended Posts

We are staying over an extra day in Seattle to do a bit of sightseeing and leaving the next a.m. Can anyone suggest a good hotel near the airport that we can stay at and also advise as to approximately the distance and or time to get to the airport from the hotel to catch our flight. We are also going into Seattle a day early before our cruise and have booked a hotel downtown for that night. Your suggestions are welcome and appreciated!!:p

There are many hotels within a mile of the airport and most provide a shuttle to/from. Assuming the shuttle is ready when you are, it will be 5-10 minutes.

which hotel depends on your budget and what amenities you require. Use a site like expedia or hotel.com to see what's available; when you have a few options lined up, post for feedback on them. (there have been several positive comments on this forum about the Sleep Inn as good budget lodging with shuttle and b'fast)

There are, literally, dozens of hotels near the Seattle Airport.

We booked Cedarbrook lodge. Has great reviews!

We stayed there for our anniversary one year and it was phenomenal! You will love it.

Have also stayed at Springhill Suites and Towne Place Suites in Renton, 10 min to airport.

Just a suggestion. Go to Hotwire Sea Tac Airports and put in for a Hotel that is three and a half stars. Chances are you will get one of the big hotel chains that have 24 hr. transportation drop off to and from the airport. Tim

I copied this from my review last summer (we booked right from the hotel website):

Seattle: we arrived at SeaTac in the evening and quickly found the free shuttle for the Sleep Inn SeaTac. The front desk was consistently helpful and friendly and our room was very good. I didn't realize until our post cruise stay that we were put in a handicapped room because we had the senior rate. The room was near the ice machine in the hall and I could hear it throughout the night. Our post cruise room was in a quiet hallway. The breakfast had the usual choices, both healthy and hearty and was well stocked.

We had decided to take the hotel shuttle to the airport and pick up Shuttle Express from there. We didn't realize there was a better option: Seattle Express picks you right up at this hotel and goes straight to the piers for $12 pp. Shuttle express was fine and seems to have the larger share of the market but costs $22pp to and from SeaTac. We made arrangements with Seattle Express to take us back to the hotel post cruise and this was a wise decision.

We had stayed at downtown hotels on previous cruises and wanted to try the airport hotels. We were very pleased and can recommend the Sleep Inn SeaTac with the Seattle Express transportation. Sleep Inn was $71-76 and is highly rated on tripadvisor.
