Miami Pre-Cruise Hotel -- Marriott Biscayne or Intercontinental?

We're cruising out of Miami and will be arriving 2 days prior to embarkation. Traveling with 3 kids (8-14) Deliberating between Marriott Biscayne Bay or the Intercontinental. Price for 2 nights were roughly the same. Seeking opinions from those who have stayed at one or both and curious to know which you would prefer/recommend. Thank you!

How about next door to the Marriott at the Doubletree :confused: -- much better pool for the kids.

We have stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay and it was fine. But in October we stayed at the JW Marriott and it was excellent.

 

I would definitely stay in the port area as there is walking distance to Bayside Market and several stores for last minute purchases. There is a CVS and Walgreens close by.

Intercontinental by a long shot!! Beautiful place.

Are you talking about the one on Chopin?

Yes..The IC on Chopin...heard ggreat things about this hotel.

Intercontinental but right near is the Marriott Marquis which I would recommend. It is much newer.

We stayed at the Intercontinental last Oct. Really a nice place. If you stay here get a room with a view of the port. You can watch the ships arrive and depart.
