Self serve laundry

We have met people in the laundry room on cruises too.

 

We share all the chores - as far as entertaining one's self It's actually a nice quiet place to read. Or sometimes a bit of reality during a cruise is not such a terrible thing. After all, your bed is made, your food is cooked. Not a care in the world - except laundry. Are we not lucky/blessed or whatever you want to call it?

I don't even know how to work a vacuum LOL That's my husband's domain. He is also the king of Swiffering.

 

But if I let my husband do the laundry it would be a disaster -- he doesn't know delicate from a towel.

Actually I've learned that once all the colors and all the whites have been washed together a few times it will all balance out. Becomes less of a concern with each wash. Sadly, try as I might I've not yet been fired from this task.

I would try to wash my clothes in the hottest water my clothes will take. I would also clear out while my laundry is on - at least on an R ship. Just for hygiene reasons.

For us, I do the laundry on the ship---I give it to housekeeping, it's returned to the closet clean and neat. Easy as that.
