Car rental in Houston

Enterprise allows one way, be warned when we did this we found the two people at Enterprise overwhelemed with the 15 folks in the office and only one drive / van to take everyone back. Just be sure to do it early and plan a good hour for car drop and ride back and you will be good.

Enterprise doesn't offer the reverse option of pick up in Houston and car drop at the airport. Taxi rides to Hobby ran us 54 bucks from the port.

Does anyone know if you can rent a car from Houston International airport and drop off somewhere close to Bayport cruise terminal? Also what is cab fare from IAH to Bayport?

Princess estimates the cab to Hobby at $50, so yours was about that.

Princess estimates $100 to IAH.

Probably tip is not included in those Princess estimates.

Often Houston cabs have a 10% discount for seniors. Ask when you are in the cab about that.

Enterprise has a rental center in Seabrook but is not accepting 1 way rentals when I am traveling. (April 25, 2014). I Found that Budget also has a return in Webster Tx, not too far from the Bayport Terminal. I'm renting an intermediate size car for 1 day, total is $73.70 that includes insurance, taxes and fees. We're flying into IAH the day before and want to explore the area, so the rental makes sense.

We just returned from the short sailing of the CB on March 22nd. (oil spill affected cruise!). We rented a car from Enterprise at IAH and returned it in Seabrook and paid a $100 drop fee for the convenience of doing so. We were okay with that as there was 6 of us travelling and returning the car back to IAH and paying for cabs would have been much more time consuming and expensive.

The above poster is totally correct, it was a bit crazy dropping off the car at Enterprise in Seabrook in the morning, they will only shuttle the driver so DH had to drop the 5 of us off at the terminal at 10:30 and head back to return the car, there was only 1 employee and he was really over-run by the passengers returning their cars and the passengers who had just gotten off the CB wanting to rent cars. Make sure you go early! The last shuttle from Enterprise to Bayport runs at 11:00 am.
