IrishLassie Posted September 25, 2014 #527 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks everyone & yes, Sherrie, we had a wonderful time. I think I looked pretty good (not to pat myself on the back) for someone that's going to be a "Great Grandmother" nx. March!!! LOL :)

iheartbda Posted September 29, 2014 #533 Share Posted September 29, 2014 What does everyone think of the new Mrs. Clooney's dress? In the upclose pictures, the fabric and detailing look gorgeous but I just don't care for high low dresses. The high is really high. Talk about being the beautiful people, makes me want to stay away from all mirrors.:o:D MAN, WHAT KILLER LEGS THOUGH! I suppose if I had legs like those, I just might show them off as well.
Rare sprint180 Posted September 29, 2014 #534 Share Posted September 29, 2014 The high is a bit too high. Looks like you could about see her youhoo. I usually don't think she is pretty but in these pics she is.

BarbRN Posted September 29, 2014 #536 Share Posted September 29, 2014 Love dress picture threads! I posted some other dresses in the original thread. I wear a dress every night. I'll post my 2 formal dresses I wore on my last cruise: This first dress I bought new for our honeymoon. I bought it to "replace" my old beaded prom dress I was wearing on cruises. I wanted more of a classic beaded dress. (my prom one was blue beaded) DSC06655 fittingroom This second dress is my homecoming dress from 2002. Just a simple black one shoulder. The back is open. DSC05864 (don't know why I am so red, but you can see the back) back you could wear a sack and look good. Gorgeous dresses too!
welove2cruise2014 Posted September 29, 2014 #537 Share Posted September 29, 2014 I bought this one for upcoming NCL cruise for "Norwegians Night Out"... too formal? I did more of a cocktail style last time... but am in LOVE with this dress (and how it fits!!!) http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www1.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/lauren-ralph-lauren-dress-one-shoulder-broach-gown%3FID%3D622869&sa=U&ei=JcYoVMKrLIGryASjrYK4BA&ved=0CBYQ9QEwAA&usg=AFQjCNFd6rfDT2fwK6PUb4Aazg0QLXdQhQ

I just wonder if the hem is a little too high and the skirt a little stiff. I do love the detailing though. Princessmich Posted September 29, 2014 #542 Share Posted September 29, 2014 I think it's classy and not to formal at all! It's heavy though, because of the brooch and because it is lined with the same fabric as the dress, from top to bottom. I ended up not taking it on a 12 night cruise/trip, because I needed to lighten the luggage weight for the flight.
Grammyceej Posted September 29, 2014 #544 Share Posted September 29, 2014 Those in the boat could see quite a bit! I think the fabric is beautiful but don't care much for the design. How does anybody walk in those shoes? If I were given just one word to describe this dress it would be UGLY! I don't like it at all. Seriously what's the purpose of showing off your hoohoo when you've already obviously hooked the man?

How does anybody walk in those shoes? You put them on and trot away ;) Seriously, they're not even that high. I own several pairs with higher heels. Or were you referring to George? And really, everyone. A internationally successful lawyer wouldn't show anuthing that's not appropriate in her wedding. Just because the hemline is too high for you, doesn't mean it's too high for her.

I know they look nice and make a ladies legs look fabulous but do you find them comfortable or something you are willing to put up with for fashion's sake? Could you wear them for hours? Could you wear them for hours? I'm trying to understand. A little of both. If you aren't used to wearing high heels, your legs and feet get tired and start to hurt after a while. Depending on the shoes, I can go easily 2-6 hours with wearing high heels before it gets too uncomfortable. And this doesn't include sitting, because then the pressure is off your feet.
