mauimary Posted April 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2014 I need some help in deciding how difficult it would be to meet up with someone arriving in another terminal. They arrive in T4 an hour before we arrive in T1 . We were wondering if this could even work out and is even reasonable. We are a traveling party staying at the same hotel. It would be great to share the cost of a car service as it would be unreasonable for sure to attempt the Tube with luggage into central London. Any help from those familiar with Heathrow much appreciated . Thankyou

4774Papa Posted April 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2014 There is a shuttle bus between the terminals. I think there is a bus called the Hotel Hoppa. http://www.heathrow-guide.com/heathrow-hotel-hoppa.html http://www.nationalexpress.com/coach...row-hoppa.aspx
Globaliser Posted April 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2014 There is a shuttle bus between the terminals. I think there is a bus called the Hotel Hoppa. It might theoretically be possible to construct a Hotel Hoppa journey that allows you to do an inter-terminal transfer, but it's not what the Hoppa's intended for (ie airport <--> hotel transfers). Otherwise, there is no landside shuttle bus between the terminals. And landside is what the OP's friends need, as they will have their luggage with them. hal2008 Posted May 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2014 don't know if I misunderstood the requirement. But wouldn't free inter-terminal transfer using trains solve the issue efficiently? (you can even use cart all the way until the platform)
Globaliser Posted May 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2014 That's certainly a potential part of the answer. But what happened was that the OP got much more detailed advice in her other thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2026291. Globaliser Posted May 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Very easy The free train service between terminals is the best connection Except that the train is only the beginning of the answer, and doesn't address some of the problems.
