Haven suite out of MIA - buy UBP before lunch

As the pre-concierge does not answer my email I ask for the CC community wisdom ;)

First time in a suite and cruising out of Miami on the Epic. As I want to pay the UBP partly from my onboard credit can I buy it during the checkin and it is billed against the room account? In case that is not possible what would be the easiest way to buy it before having a glass of wine with my lunch as from how I understood it we will be directly escorted to the haven restaurant.

Anyone tried the same?

While you wouldn't be able to use your OBC, perhaps the easiest thing to do (which is how I'm handling it) would be to purchase the package in advance. If, however, they handle it the same way they did the Dining Package, you shouldn't have a problem. My first day aboard, I saw down for a meal and the hostess, realizing I had the Dining Package but had not yet swung by to pick up my sticker, simply got one for me. It was great! So they MIGHT do the same thing for the Drink package, depending on where you are at the time.

Hi. On a different ship, but One of the couples with us wanted to do the same thing and didn't want to pre purchase because they had a lot of onboard credit they wanted to use. They too were staying in a suite. They just asked the concierge about it in the pre-boarding area before they even got on the ship, and he had someone walk them to wherever they needed to go to purchase it, and then take them to cagneys dining room for lunch ( no haven dining room on that ship). We met them at Cagneys and it only took them 10 minutes or so to get it done and meet back up with us.

We our in a Haven Courtyard Penthouse on the Getaway in September and have a $ 450 OBC

Will purchase the UBP at check in or if not at the nearest place after getting on board ...then head to the Haven Restaurant for lunch.

You can also just get the UBP after you have lunch as the beverage package will just remove the drinks from your onboard account. (They actually don't even charge your account for the UBP till after the ship has set sail so there won't be tax on it.)

Not sure if the Epic has a bar in the Haven area like the BA, but we stopped on our way to lunch and got the soda package right there. You should be able to do the same.

That doesn't help on the Jade as it doesn't have a Haven lounge.

There is no hurry to buy the UBP. Once you buy it all drinks on your account will be zeroed out. Relax enjoy some wine with lunch just make sure it is $10.00 of less :)

This! Then you can purchase your UBP at the Haven bar. Simple.
