For anyone who asked about how to get to the beach for sailaway, I did a screen capture of Gambee's post in his review:

One thing I want to mention. The parking along the beach street is no longer free. There are Meters there now.

Bring your quarters ;), I have not been since they added the meters. But if it is anything like the ones owned by the city in las olas it should be $1.75, so it can add up. I actually think the meters help, because people don't stay as long. They were usually all taken by surfers that stay there all day long.

The On Air Club in the Royal Promenade has many screens and shows many sporting events. I recall watching the World Series games on one of my cruises on Lady O

Unfortunately the only sport that cruise ships seem to not have is hockey:cool: When your SO is hockey obsessed, as in plays 3 times a week still at 55, you gotta get creative

Once again for my LIVE review:

I will try to take as many pictures of food and the menus as I can. I know everyone enjoys food porn and that includes me! :D

Please know that I appreciate everyone that follows along. If I miss your question or do not respond to your comment it's not intentional... LIVE reviews take a lot of work and sometimes you just can't keep up with everyone.

I will be purchasing the unlimited wifi package aboard Allure which is priced at 179 for the entire week.

Also you may have noticed I am using a combination of the Nikon and my HTC smartphone to provide pictures. I will probably use the HTC today till we sail out as it allows for a quicker almost instant updating to the thread. The picture quality seems to be very good as well which helps

Chris great pics and a wonderful start to your next sailing! Sailing in one week and this review will get me through till then! Thanks again for sharing....K.O.:)

Loving all the detail! As a "live" fan, I love cruising (and pre cruising) along with the author... and as an author of several live and (not) live threads (i.e., written day by day on board but posted upon return to save internet $$) myself, I know the time, effort and expense (!!) that goes into them... so MANY THANKS to the op for sharing his experience in such delightful and descriptive detail:D

Good morning friends! Thanks for all the great posts. Welcome to day two of LIVE pre cruise Allure of the Seas! It's a beautiful day here again in Fort Lauderdale. As Emmy mentioned earlier, 3 ships in port today and all of them RCI ships. We have Independence of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, and of course Lady O herself, Oasis!

I saw Ice Games on the last cruise aboard Allure so this time I will be seeing Blue Planet which I didn't get a chance to last time

You are going to LOVE Blue Planet. I think it is my favorite show of all the shows I have seen on all the ships. It is incredible!
