Sweettoothray Posted April 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2014 Went on a cruise with about 50 family members Feb 21 on the Inspiration for a 3 day to Ensenada. No complaints about the cruise itself (have been on this cruise & knew it was party time). However had a problem after we got back collecting our winnings from the casino that we were told would arrive by check in the mail in 2 or 3 weeks. Didn't cash out in the casino on board as we were in a rush to meet others in the dining room and there was a long line at the cashier window. Long story, short.... We still haven't gotten our money! It's been well over 9 weeks now! Have called several times & can't get through to the casino rep. Have also left our number for a callback & gotten no response. We're talking $587.00. Anyone been in our shoes? Can't get help or response from Carnival. General rep (not connected to casino) told us it would be about 10 weeks! Really?! On you for not going back later to cash out.

Sweettoothray Posted April 25, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted April 25, 2014 Have never won anything in the casino so didn't have this problem before. My mistake for trusting Carnival & forgetting to cash out before we debarked. Hope we can still get the check but am having a bad feeling about it. Any suggestions on who to contact? Already know we made a mistake but want to know if anyone has had this experience & how it was resolved.
welldone60 Posted April 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2014 You will get your money but it might be awhile We just forgot on a cruise last year and received a check about 14 weeks after the cruise and it was for only $35.
Lyncoya Posted April 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) One cruise, I forgot to cash out. It was only $20. I actually had NO idea that I didn't cash out. Maybe 6 months or so later, they found the money and mailed me a check. I had to call them to see what it was for. I think I may have started a thread about it a while ago. I hope you don't have to wait a year for your $600. Edited April 25, 2014 by Lyncoya

USNUZULOOSE Posted April 25, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2014 This makes me wonder, we were on the Glory in 09 and we sat in the art auction, DH went out for something and came back and said someone won 98 thousand dollars on quarter slots. They had to wait until we got into St Thomas to come on the ship just to verify the machine. I wonder how long they waited for their money. Some one else behind them won 10 thousand. We were in St Thomas all day. I am sure they were one happy couple.:)

As quoted above, there are a multitude of announcements throughout the cruise on not just Carnival, but other cruise lines as well for all guests, including transit guests staying on the ship for another cruise on turnaround day. Contact page for Ocean Player's Club: http://www.oceanplayersclub.com/contact-us.aspx Edit: Ocean Players Club is also a subsidy of Carnival Corporation & plc. You may also want to try contacting the parent company. Edited April 26, 2014 by Disconnections
evanAction Posted April 26, 2014 #14 Share Posted April 26, 2014 We got off the Freedom Feb 8th, forgot to cash out DW balance....it was only for $3.65 but a check surprisingly showed up on 3/20. It takes a few weeks. If its been longer than 4-6 weeks I'd call the players club casino office. dljones Posted April 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted April 26, 2014 OP, why don't you try emailing John Heald. I think it is jheald@carnival.com. I would also post on his facebook as well. That will certainly get some attention to your problem. If nothing else, you should get OBC. Good luck!!!

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Forums mobile app I think the current policy is if the winnings are less than $5 it's donated to St. Jude. My sister and I were on a B2B last year and she went to bed before cashing out on the 1st leg. I went back to the casino with her S&S card to cash her out and they almost wouldn't let me. The casino host and I had been chatting all week and she said that it's not usually allowed, but since she knew us both and we would be on the ship the next week she would go ahead and take care of it. cruizinisthebest Posted April 27, 2014 #17 Share Posted April 27, 2014 For almost $600, I would have waited to get my money. Or gotten up in the wee hours of the morning if I had to before I left. You will eventually get your money but leaving that kind of money is not something I would do. A check in the mail is always a slow check in the mail. seeing this world Posted April 27, 2014 #18 Share Posted April 27, 2014 This problem needs to directed to where it belongs. The casino is a sub contractor of Carnival. Calling Carnival is not going to get you results or contacting John Heald. All they are going to do is forward the issue to Players Club. Contact the sub contractor which is Player club, call them and get them working on it. They are the only one that can solve the problem. This should not reflect badly on Carnival they did nothing wrong, you just did not cash out. It is is posted somewhere anything under $5 payout is dontated to St Judes
sjcruiser Posted April 27, 2014 #19 Share Posted April 27, 2014 WOW, thats a lot of money to leave in the machine. I would have also made the family wait for a few minutes until I cashed out. The casino seems to draw a larger than usual crowd on the last night. I tend to go between the casino and disco most nights, and finish up when the disco closes, but on the last night, its hard to get to a table to machine, so I'm done playing early than normal. JustCruiseMe Posted April 27, 2014 #20 Share Posted April 27, 2014 When I didn't know how it worked I left 10.00 in the machine and 3 months later I got a check and I also didn't know where it came from and had to call. You'll get your money but it will take awhile most likely. Wouldn't hurt to call though.
