Princess Transfers

Asked this question on the East Coast Departure boards and received no replies:( so I thought I would try the Princess board......the place to go for answers;)

 

New to sailing out of NYC and wondering if anyone has used the Princess transfers from JFK to the Princess cruiseport? If so, how did it go?

 

Any info or feedback, greatly appreciated...thanks:).

We did the transfer in 2012 and it worked out extremely well. Since the route is through the city, you get a mini-tour of sightseeing.

 

No complaints here. Have a wonderful cruise.

Of course your mini-tour will be through Queens and Brooklyn, not Manhattan. :D

I did it via a car service and I agree - it wasn't very "picturesque" to say the least. Actually, a bit shocking in some ways. :cool:

Do the shuttles have set times to leave or do they wait for the bus to fill up? Our plane gets in at 9:45 am.....thanks.

If there are two of you, I suggest a car service such as dial7.com. No waiting and about the same price.

We used the Princess transfers in NY in 2011 and it was the best decision we could have made. Stress free and got a great "tour" of the New York area. It was our first time in NYC and we were super intimidated by all of the transportation choices.

No, they leave whenever it suits them. Sometimes, it's according to who they have coming in on later flights, how much later they are, how many people there are, etc. I've been on Princess transfers when there have been as few as 8 of us (had to wait 2 hrs. for that!) and as many as about 40 (waited 10 mins. for those ones). Just depends on a lot of factors.
