thebooth Posted April 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I just got off the Oasis in March and now thinking of booking the Freedom. We really care about nice shaded areas in the Solarium and a near by bar. On the Oasis you could only really get shade on the top by that bar but the pools were down stairs and it was some what inconvenient. How is the Freedom Solarium? We love the Solarium on Enchantment Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

We love the Solarium on Enchantment Freedom's Solarium is not covered in glass like Enchantment and Oasis. So it tend to be cooler.
DisnyMik Posted April 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2014 We loved the Freedom but I was disappointed the Solarium wasn't more like the Oasis Solarium. We spent a lot of time there so that didn't deter me! I would definitely do Freedom again.
racerxspeedy Posted April 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2014 The solarium bar area on Freedom Class is shaded as well as the hot tubs and loungers further away from the pool. The loungers that are in the sun are actually difficult to get. You should have no issue finding some shaded seating in the solarium. There is a bit more traffic along the windows in this area than you may have seen on the Oasis. Enjoy
Rare whitshel Posted April 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Here are a couple pics of the solarium on the Indy which is basically the same as on the Freedom.
jules815 Posted April 29, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Great pictures! I'm so happy we're sailing with RC again. I really missed having a nice area like this when we cruised with Carnival last time.
nelly55 Posted April 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Bear in mind that in Freedom class (or certainly on Indy last year) only the actual pool and whirlpools are adult only, kids love the swing seats along the side and it is a passageway from the forward elevators to the main pool so not particularly quiet. Clarea Posted April 29, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 29, 2014 What are these swing seats you mention? Along the side there are one or two wooden bench seats that swing.
