VickiD59 Posted May 18, 2014 #80 Share Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Seems like they have stopped now. I hope it isn't another whale. I damn near spit coffee all over my laptop ;) So excited! We are now officially in the single digit weeks - NINE more round trips until it's my turn :D Edited May 18, 2014 by VickiD59
Cruisin'cockney Posted May 21, 2014 #81 Share Posted May 21, 2014 OK, ready for the next docking. This is getting to be a Wednesday ritual! If port side today we can be sure that this is the default orientation with starboard dockings only by exception to fulfil a specific purpose. In 5 dockings from now I will be onboard - can't wait!:)

kroozin' Posted May 21, 2014 #86 Share Posted May 21, 2014 hmmm... starboard surprised me... still too early in season to get a feel for default docking orientation. Dawn was starboard this week - will be interesting to see if a pattern develops of BA same as Dawn each week.
meatball_nyc Posted May 21, 2014 Author #87 Share Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Looks like a decent basketball game going on. Lots of balcony doors open. Cruisin Cockney please post when you get back how the beaches/water conditions were. Thanks! Hope she doesn't leave any pax on Bermuda this week ;) ~Robin Norwegian Breakaway July 2014 Carnival Miracle 2010 Carnival Legend 2006 Edited May 21, 2014 by meatball_nyc

Dawn was starboard this week - will be interesting to see if a pattern develops of BA same as Dawn each week. Just from casual observation over the last 3 years, the NCL ships have faced out to sea about 2/3-3/4 of the time when docked at that exact dock. Cruisin'cockney Posted May 21, 2014 #90 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Here comes X Summit, same orientation as BA.

bimmer328 Posted May 24, 2014 #95 Share Posted May 24, 2014 I'm actually hoping for a BA port side docking so our aft cabins face the Summit - of course I could change my mind at any given moment :p We were docked Port side (May 11-18 sailing). Hoping you get this view every day. :D Have a great trip!
Rare mking8288 Posted May 24, 2014 #96 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Which way they docked at the yard also depends on whether they have scheduled maintenance on the side of the ship and launching their lifeboats to do safety training & crews only drills as required, as I recall. NJ Johnny Posted May 25, 2014 #100 Share Posted May 25, 2014 I can't tell if the Breakaway is docked in NY yet. It doesn't look like it from the NY Port webcam and the Breakaway's cam must be off. Any one know anything?
