Leaving for Bermuda/Summit tomorrow, will qualify for suite boarding.

Does anyone know recently, what time it was ok to board? Don’t want to get their too early and wait hours for cabin, but i don’t want to be late with throngs of people there.

When is a good time to arrive? Thanks

Not sure if this qualifies but I sailed to Bermuda last summer.

I went in August and arrived at the pier around 11am (if memory

serves).

In case this is your first time sailing from there...once you check in

they have shuttle buses that take you from the terminal to the ship.

(Just an FYI).

They have different lines so your Suite Line will be one of them and

and if boarding hasn't started yet, there is a section they will seat

you inside the terminal with a sign that says "Suite Guests".

Hi Lois thanks for chiming in. I’ve sailed from NJ a few years ago but remember nothing.

Question: Do we drop off the bags BEFORE going on the shuttle? Because I can’t imagine lugging a bunch of huge bags up the steps of a shuttle bus.( I’m with DW, 2 kids, and a nanny. And DW luvs her frigging bags)

Hi, we have sailed out of Bayonne 10 times. Number 11 is coming up in 2 weeks.

You will drop your luggage off at the end of the tent with the porters. If you are driving you would do that and then go around to their parking area, pay and park. You could also drop your passengers off with the luggage while you park and then meet them back at the tent at the entrance to go check in.

After you are all checked in then you take the shuttle to the ship.

Have a great cruise!

Thanks CruisingChick…

What do you feel is a good time to first arrive at the port? I can’t be too early because 18 month old DS will have had a 90 minute drive, so I don’t want to have to ‘wait around’ too much. But, I’d like to be their early enough to beat high crowds, and hopefully get on the ship with ease?

Rooms won't be ready before one. Why not go the other way, stop for lunch on the way to break the trip up, then board later than the crowd who will all be rushing to be the first at the buffet, and who will be dragging their carry ons with them. Skip the lines, skip the crowds, and be able to go directly to your room to un load your carry on and settle in.

You say that you don't want to arrive too early, don't want to fight crowds and don't want to wait too long for your room. The best way is to arrive after the crush
