Kiwi Kruzer Posted May 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2014 Just received my first unsolicited email from Oceania Cruises. Are they part of Carnival? No. Oceania is owned by Apollo Management , a private equity firm. They use OPM's to run the luxury Oceania , and Regent Seven Seas Cruise lines. Rare MicCanberra Posted May 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2014 Could be a random pick, but I suspect that they have your name from somewhere (purchased from a TA with a cruise list perhaps).:D

Bescotti Posted May 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2014 I also received my first email from them yesterday. I now book directly with HAL so I presume they got my details from some online cruise mailing list I am on.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted May 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 28, 2014 If you do a Google search on anything , Google keep a record of your visits and sell the information to whosoever wants it. Big Brother knows what you are looking at. A friend wondered why she was getting google ads popping up about porn sites, then found out that google had been tracking one of her children who was using her computer to look at sites that he should not have looking at.
