We just post on the ports of call section of cruise critic finding the port that matches to the one we need guidance with.

Tudorcruisers, I would suggest checking the British Isles/Western Europe forum for info on Southampton. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=233. You can do a Search there, or post your question. There may also be discussion on your Roll Call for pre-hotels. Enjoy the fjords! :)

You can also go onto "Tripadvisor", put in a city and read reviews pertaining to specific properties.

We are on the same cruise.....The De Vere Grand Harbour in Southampton is nice. Is it just for one night? There are cheaper hotels close by that a would do for just a sleepover.

Are you flying into Southampton airport? There's a Premier Inn within a very short walk from arrivals, right beside the airport train station where a 10 min train ride will take you to the beautiful city of Winchester. (Just happens to by my home :D)
