Rare Lois R Posted July 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Does Celebrity have double or extra cruise points for single sailors like Royal Caribbean instituted recently? Nope, no extra points for us solo cruisers.
skibyrd Posted July 22, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Kind of what I figured. Thanks!
Rare cruisestitch Posted July 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2014 No but we are hopeful they will follow Royals lead soon!
sue58 Posted July 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2014 It would be nice to get something when you book a single cabin - coupons for a few drinks, a coupon or two for Bistro on 5, an extra gelato or two. How about paid gratuities or an excursion or a Celebrity robe or some OBC or ???? I know many people have the drink package so the free drinks might not be a big deal and a free meal or two or gelato might also not be a big deal but it would be very nice of Celebrity to do something for those of us who book single cabins on a regular basis. :) Yes, I know, it's a business so it's about the bottom line.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted July 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2014 No they don't. It wouldn't cost them anything to give us double points for the room and it would be a nice gesture. If other lines are starting to look at this, maybe it's time to start looking around.
ISABELLA Posted July 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2014 The only one thing I see RCL is doing - building new ships with studios for SOLO w/ balconies. I booked one on Anthem for 2016. Price is very good, but needs to be quick to get them.
Guern69 Posted July 24, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Thanks for that, something I may look at as travelling solo is so expensive..
