RotaryMike Posted July 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Trying to choose between a standard balcony or deluxe balcony on the Regal. It looks like the Deluxe has a small couch and 2 nightstands, and is about 18 sq.ft. larger. Has anyone been in both types ? thanx, Mike in CT
goofy559 Posted July 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Hi Mike. I've been in both a deluxe and regular balcony cabin on the Royal. You are correct - the deluxe has a small couch, the regular only has a chair. While the extra bit of space is nice, I wouldn't pay a lot for it. The rest of the cabin is the same (unless you have an angled balcony, which is larger). Lisa

RotaryMike Posted July 22, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Deluxe balcony not worth the extra $$$. I got lucky today, checked the Princess website and all of a sudden the Deluxe is the $ame price as the regular balcony for my sailing on Regal. Just got confirmation back on the cabin change - and it is an extended balcony !!

Mom33 Posted July 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 22, 2014 How does one figure out the extended balcony suites on the Royal/Regal?Thanks,Karen You will find them mid ships, aft, and forward on the deck plans. If you click on a cabin number, it will tell you what the cabin is, the size of the balcony and if it is extended.:)

js1357 Posted July 23, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I hope the info on the website is incorrect with regard to D408. It shows the balcony as standard (36 sq ft (9 x 4)). It looks much bigger on the deck plan. Can someone verify this?
Quacker Posted July 24, 2014 #12 Share Posted July 24, 2014 js1357 - I think the website must be wrong. We have D410 and it says our balcony is 54 sq. feet. Also shows E408 and E410 as 54 sq. feet. You should be good. Don

Just got confirmation back on the cabin change - and it is an extended balcony !! Current sale is for a deluxe balcony at the price of a regular balcony. I have seen at least one pricing where the obstructed deluxe balcony is priced lower than the obstructed regular balcony.
