Fort Lauderdale Shopping

Also if this trip occurs near the Thanksgiving holiday expect the place to be a zoo.

Just an FYI, the Galleria is the closest mall to the port and they have enough stores to keep you occupied for the day . . . plus its a very nice mall. You wouldn't have to worry about a rental car, you could just taxi your way over there

Sawgrass is great, but it can easily become overwhelming.

As Kdawg mentions, Galleria Mall is in Fort Lauderdale. DW much prefers Galleria to Sawgrass. Easier to navigate. Taxi to/from port about $25 each way. On a turnaround day you are much closer to port and no worries of traffic back ups.

dont forget to show your passport in Macy's for 10% discount :)

If your turn around day is Sunday please be advised that most of the stores open around noon.

Actually, they open earlier. While many don't open until eleven, many are open at ten especially during season.
