cruisintwinsmom Posted July 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Help! Would you get a Central Park View guarantee or oceanview guarantee on the Oasis? They are the same price. I am not considering the balconies at this time - just windows. Thank you for your help!
Clarea Posted July 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2014 I would rather look outside the ship, at the ocean, or port if possible.
Rare shipshape sam Posted July 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Can't imagine a bad ocean view balcony. Can't imagine a central park balcony better than outside ocean view balcony.
Starry Eyes Posted July 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2014 I'd go oceanview gty.
EbayCruiser Posted July 30, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 30, 2014 I would tend to go with ocean view but the central park view rooms are 194 sq. ft. vs. 174 for ocean view. So if you need the extra room, you might want to go with Central Park. I think they have a windows seat too (which is nice).

cruisinlover1414 Posted July 31, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2014 I would go with the ocean view guarantee... would rather view the ocean rather than people walking through Central Park :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
riclop Posted July 31, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2014 We love cp balcony rooms much more than staring at the ocean.
cruisintwinsmom Posted July 31, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted July 31, 2014 When I went back to look at the possibilities, the CP rooms are not guarantee, but I could pick which one I want, while the OV are guarantees. It is for a transatlantic, so that may impact my choice. Certainly appreciated your opinions, keep them coming!
Bosjoe Posted August 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Is for Oceanview without balcony or with Balcony, Currently Ocean view balcony is higher then central park? If it it a ocean balcony then take that. I am pricing this same cruise and hoping for a firesale within the next 2 weeks.
DonnaK Posted August 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I would take the OV over the CPV window cabin, especially on a transatlantic. I'd want to see the ocean! It wouldn't matter to me that it's a guarantee - it's a risk worth taking.

Thinking I may go ahead and book it, then add her for $25 + taxes. I'ld hate for the balcony to go back up a couple of hundred dollars, especially if I end up going solo. :o

cruisintwinsmom Posted August 2, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted August 2, 2014 I usually try to go for the best bang for my buck and with a balcony only $100 more than an OV, I thought I would go for it. Oh, well. Do you think the insides will drop any more? I was seeing $1059 excluding taxes.
Bosjoe Posted August 2, 2014 #18 Share Posted August 2, 2014 I hope so, I like to get in just under 1000 for inside. If two of us were going I would have snagged a balcony last week. I'm just going to play let it ride for 2 weeks. :) pricing every day.
