Cruising-along Posted August 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2014 Just off the Eurodam, we boarded and overnighted in Stockholm. Our muster drill was the next day about an hour before departure. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

You will have the drill on departure day, the 15th. It will be no later than 45 minutes before sailing, but could be earlier if the on-board time is set earlier in the evening. Just off the Eurodam, we boarded and overnighted in Stockholm. Our muster drill was the next day about an hour before departure. Was it a late departure (23:00) like the OP? The question here is really whether they will have the drill around 22:00 or set an earlier on-board time and interrupt the dinner hours. The question is will the OP's drill be at 22:00 or earlier? During dinner time? Or will on-board time be something like 16:00, with an afternoon drill? Rare Vict0riann Posted August 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2014 When we left Singapore late at night, there was a 4:30 muster drill, but they also did a "make-up" drill at 10.p.m. for the people who had missed the earlier one. It was announced a number of times over the PA system before they corralled everyone!

Sounds like that's the answer for the OP then. It never occurred to me that they'd do two. :o:)
Laurino Posted August 10, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 10, 2014 We had a sail away at 11pm from Venice, on July 23, onboard Nieuw Amsterdam. It was an overnight (transit day on a collector's voyage). The muster drill took place at 8pm on departure day. On the previous cruise segment they did a rounding-up of those that couldn't participate on the following sea day, but we had an earlier departure then.
