js4069 Posted August 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2014 I have an OBC from RC for buying during a sale. Can this be applied to the cost of a beverage package if purchased on board, or are there any restrictions?
Rare LMaxwell Posted August 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) Yes, you can use it for a bev package purchased onboard. Edited August 13, 2014 by LMaxwell
Sky616 Posted August 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Yes you can. I plan on using some of mine of my kids' soda packages once I get onboard.

TravelerThom Posted August 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2014 As others have said, yes you can use your RCI OBC for anything purchased on the ship including drink packages. We do traditional dining (not MTD) and use the OBC toward gratuities - that usually uses all of the OBC right there. (You don't have to identify what the OBC is being used for; it just goes against your shipboard account.) Note that if you have an OBC from a Travel Agent those are usually refundable, while RCI OBCs are not refundable; accounting does use non-refundable first which works in your favor. Should you actually have non-refundable left near the end of the cruise:confused:, you can get it out at the casino for a 5% charge. Most people have no problem "getting rid" of the OBC:D Thom
Clarea Posted August 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2014 I have an OBC from RC for buying during a sale. Can this be applied to the cost of a beverage package if purchased on board, or are there any restrictions? Just make sure you don't buy anything on Royal's website pre-cruise or it won't use OBC. cb at sea Posted August 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Your OBC is a CREDIT against any charges you make....you can't specify what to use it for....If you have $100 obc, then the 1st $100 you spend on your account is taken care of by the obc.
