Mini Suites on Grand Princess

Just booked a mini-suite on Grand Princess for Jan. 17 seven-day itinerary to Mexican Riviera. Looking for reviews from anyone who has stayed in a mini-suite on the Grand. How was the balcony? Size of the room? Quality of the room? We are booked on Dolphin deck aft.

Thanks.

The room itself is lovely. Ample space and great design just like all mini-suites. My only disappointment on the Grand was the balcony. The furniture is not very comfortable and for some reason, on the Grand, the balcony floor is just painted...no matting like other ships. Dolphin deck balconies are totally exposed and the floor was usually wet so going out in bare feet or socks was not an option and we were always tracking water into the cabin.

We loved our mini-suite on the Grand. It was almost identical to the mini on the Ruby. We were on Dolphin deck aft and I would say that it is mostly, but not totally exposed. We didn't have a problem with the furniture on the balcony...it was just fine.

Our cabin was very near the laundry facility, which was very convenient!

The mats are back! Now if we could just get some comfortable furniture.

Thanks for the info. Not too concerned with the furniture. We had an aft balcony on the Carnival Dream a few years ago and had a lot of space. We also had a balcony room on our last cruise on Carnival Valor and the space was small, but ample enough.

Being exposed is OK.
