GOLDENBONNY Posted August 19, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 19, 2014 What do you mean "no more $12 per bottle on Divina"? I just booked the 7 bottle dinner wine package for $72 USD yesterday on their website. For CArib. cruise? Maybe it's back  we had it on Poesia but on Divina we paid 22$ per btl:rolleyes:

Bosjoe Posted August 19, 2014 #28 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Also I never had a problem getting 2 drinks at a time. A few times as we were in the hot tub, we would have one of the bar people bring us multiple drinks. Very nice. When getting off the ship grab 2 big bottles of water no problem. You do have to sign fo drinks though, no biggie, they were very good at serving. You want multiple pastries at the same time. No issues. Definitely try the juice bar at the gym. Indulge yourself as all your drinks and extra sweets.
maureencruiser Posted August 20, 2014 #29 Share Posted August 20, 2014 The premium package will do that without any encouragement from anyone :D:D :D:eek::D This could be the best birthday, ever. I have a question about the shows, I read that drinks are not served in the theater, but, can you bring a drink in there with you? Or, are they trying to keep people from spilling drinks everywhere?

Mikesa1721 Posted August 20, 2014 #32 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Ah, good to know, since I plan on seeing each show twice. ;) We sat off to the left side of the stage when we saw The Starwalker show. Going to try and sit more center stage next week,,we felt like we missed some parts of the show sitting so far off center,, but get there early Maureen,,the shows fill up fast. ATLGirls Posted August 20, 2014 #33 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Maureen, you can't take drinks in on the first Gala night, at least we couldn't on the Aug. 9 sailing. Sucked because we went to the casino bar to get drinks specifically to take in, so I was left gulping my martini outside the door :) For the starwalker show, we got there about 45 min early and got great seats. It's totally worth it for that show. To the original poster: if you are drinking 2-3 drinks/day, I suggest strongly to get the vouchers ahead of time. $72 for 15 cocktails/wine/icecream/draft beer or $52 for 14 bottled/canned beer. You have to call MSC and pay for them ahead of time - if you reserve them through the website you'll see them on your onboard account and 15% will be added. But if you pay ahead of time you won't pay the 15%. Regarding the wine - we did the 7 bottles for $85 (MDR only) (called "Dinner Wine" package) and it was great. It's just over $12 per bottle. On board, the cheapest bottle is $25, but most are $30-$40. So if you plan on more than 3 bottles of wine, get the package and then you can have as much as you want (or be the nice people that share with the table). I was told if you order the vouchers via the website the $72 will show up on your onboard account but you will NOT be charged the extra 15%. The extra is only charged if you order the vouchers once you actually get on the ship. Trish

I've ordered some vouchers via the website. I thought you only paid the 15% if you bought them when you were on board. If anyone knows I'd be grateful. They also said ordering it ahead and paying on board means you earn more points towards your MSC frequent cruiser club.

It will be added to your onboard account so you don't pay 'til the end of your cruise. For every €200/$200 spent onboard you receive one point on your loyalty clubcard so it's better to pre-order than prepay. A word of advice: If you do pre-order, be sure to bring proof of same as it may not show up on the system at embarkation!

maureencruiser Posted August 22, 2014 #42 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Gambee has posted the dailies from his cruise and it says no food or beverage are allowed in the theater, so, I will respect that. I have a question about the Premium package, it says it includes "items" from the room service menu. Is that just drinks or does it include food? Rare Beamafar Posted August 23, 2014 #45 Share Posted August 23, 2014 :) Thanks! :) You're welcome. In fact I'd forgotten about that - I'm weighing up whether to get the Classic or Premium package on my Brazil to Genoa crossing as there isn't a huge price difference between the two, unlike in the Med, where it's almost double the basic package price! So, one more great reason to go Premium :D

Room service food is free on US sailings without a package over seas they have to pay unless they have the premium package, that's why the wording is on the package. WhiteWineInTheSun Posted August 23, 2014 #47 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Actually, I'd suggest the drink coupons and/or a wine package - but remember that when you buy the wine package by the bottle, you can only drink it in the dining rooms. Seriously, those vouchers bring the price of a drink down to $4.80 and if you order them pre boarding, no 15% service charge is added! Price for a bottle of wine can go as low as $12/bottle! I was going to suggest the coupons, too. We did a charter in April, had coupons, and loved them. Only onboard expense we had to settle up was our meal at Ristorante Italia.
