Are you able to redeem 3 rewards like some of the Vegas ones?

For example can I do the following?

1 - 1.2 million for a free 4 night Caribbean cruise for 2 people.

2 - $200 OBC

3 - 1 select beverage package

Thanks

No, you are only allowed to use one redemption code per stateroom.

I am not seeing anything about the beverage package, just the $300.00 onboard credit. Do you have to be at a certain level for the beverage package ? I am at level 152.

Are you on Facebook or the App? On Facebook I see both the Select & Ultimate Beverage Package. The same holds true for the App. You might find not all the rewards on Facebook are available on the App, but I believe they are for Royal Caribbean. Neither appear to be locked to a certain VIP level. You would still be able to see them if you were not yet at the level, you just would not be able to select them.

In Facebook, go to Rewards and then click on Partners. Select Royal Caribeean and it should show you all the current offerings.

ahhh thank you so much for that info ! I always just looked at the rewards that were listed there. So many more options when I click on Royal Caribbean ! It was sold out though for today but I will keep checking !

Now I will go back and read this whole thread before I ask questions ! :)

Yesterday, I redeemed enough myVegas points for the "Complimentary Ultimate Beverage Package".

I already have a cruised booked (back in May 2014) for January 4th, 2015 on the Allure of the Seas (I'm pretty excited for my first Oasis class voyage). I fully realize that the terms of this promotion state this is for "new bookings only." My plan is to cancel and rebook my trip. The current re-bookable fare for the same category "N" is only $50 more than my current fare total. To pay only $50 more (plus several thousand myVegas) points to save nearly $400 on an Ultimate Beverage Package seems like a good deal. Does anyone see a flaw in my logic?

To go a little further, I actually attempted to do just that... but RCI said no. :( Even if I rebooked, they said the "Ultimate Beverage Package" is not combinable with the "WOW" BOGO rate. Frustrating because NOWHERE in the terms of the "Ultimate Beverage Package" can I find a "rate disclaimer". (Note: A rate disclaimer is clearly visible in the "$200 On-Board Credit" promotion for example.)

Does anyone have experience/knowledge using the "Ultimate Beverage Package" on a newly booked cruise using the "WOW" BOGO sale?

My efforts to use the Ultimate Beverage Package came to an unsuccessful end....

First, I tried calling RCCL at the number provided on the promotion voucher. Spoke to an agent who stepped me through the process of trying to book a new cruise for the Allure (same dates as before)... the price came back comparable ~$2k for inside Class N cabin for 2 people. When I asked him if he applied the voucher he said, "Not yet. Standby." A few moments later he said the same cabin with the voucher applied jumped to ~$3K. It would cost me ~$1K more to apply a voucher worth around $400... obviously not worth it. The RCCL agent was very sympathic and understood why I didn't want to proceed forward. I re-read him the T&Cs... pointing out that NOWHERE is there a restriction on fare types (unlike other Royal Caribbean / myVegas promotions). He said that all he could go by was the computer.

Next, I waited a few days and tried again. Different RCCL agent. Same story.

Lastly, I tried myVegas. I contacted their customer support which simply said T&Cs are determined by RCCL... and that if I was unsatisfied, I could request a point refund for my voucher. Which I did. Points were refunded two days later.

Bottom Line... Voucher for me was worthless. :( If someone found a different answer, I'd love to hear about it.

Hope I have more luck... I have redeemed for the ultimate beverage package and was planning on booking my cruise while on the Celebrity Eclipse in a few weeks time.

I was hoping that I can get the Diamond Balcony discount and the onboard booking bonus even when using the voucher for the beverage package; like you, I meticulously read the conditions and no where does it mention pricing specifics or restrictions. In fact, the mail with redeeming instructions states:

Redeem Your Reward

Eligible for redemption beginning 8/25/14. Step 1: Visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com and shop for your cruise. Note: You cannot redeem this reward online. Step 2: Once you've selected your cruise, call 855-284-7463 and mention your myVEGAS Confirmation, full name, RCL promo code "myVEGASPREM", desired ship and sail date to the agent. Step 3: Get ready for the cruise experience of a lifetime!

This, to me, implies that the normal pricing applies. They literally tell you to get all cruise and pricing info on the normal RC site, and then call to book and apply the MyVegas voucher. If they don't honour the pricing found on their site, that would be a bait and switch.

Edit: I think I'll contact the Crown and Anchor people to see if they have any information.

Do you just have to book your cruise & apply the voucher within 90 days of redemption, or do you actually have to use it on a sailing that is 90 days (or less) from when you redeemed it? That makes a big difference.

With the Myvegas rewards for complimentary hotel nights and show tickets, which carry the same 90 day redemption time frame, you have to call in to reserve the room / tickets within those 90 days, but the hotel stay / show performance itself can be after those 90 days.

I got the premium Zarkana ticket voucher back in June and called at that time to reserve a show end November, well over 90 days after getting the voucher.

Presumably the same applies for the Royal Caribbean awards as they follow the same redemption method: get voucher and call in to reserve an actual sailing. For the rewards where you really have to abide to the 90 day cut off period, you don't call in to redeem but have to physically go to an mLife members desk while in Vegas.

Besides, if the actual sailing would have to be within 90 days, that would place one immediately within final payment period, and the list of sailings (where there is a restriction on sailings, for example for the 50% off rewars) goes up to 2016 IIRC.

I am sure everyone who calls will get a different answer, but i was just told by the MyVegas Royal Caribbean number that if you booked your cruise AFTER Aug 25, you can add a reward to the existing booking. If you booked prior to that date, you would have to cancel & rebook at the prevailing rate. We booked the Nov 29th sailing on the Oasis back in February. I was calling trying to redeem an Ultimate Beverage package and was told it was impossible (they even checked with a supervisor & 2 different departments) because of the date coding in the system. She said if I booked after August she could have just popped the code in the system and it would work. I am 95% sure she is wrong, but it will be nice if she was right and some of you booked after Aug 25 & want to use rewards without cancelling & rebooking.

(I am assuming what she said (if true) would only apply to the casino cash, drink packages etc. It would not work for the % off ones.)

CRAP! We booked on August 22nd!!!!

Okay, I have been obsessively :o playing MyVegas for a couple of weeks now, hoping to use the rewards for our RCI cruise that we have booked for April 2015. Our cruise is a group cruise, and has been booked for some time. I was hoping to bank the Loyalty points and use them for OBC or a drink package, and try to cash them in about 3 months before the cruise. The question is, will they allow me to do that?! I was also hoping to get OBC through our RCI Visa cards. Can we have both?!

TIA!!

OK here is my experience today. I called Crown & Anchor and they gave me the # for the My Vegas rewards which is 855-284-7463. I had not redeemed the rewards yet . I do have my cruise booked already. Since I booked using the BOGO half off...... my rate would change if I used the My Vegas reward. And it comes out about equal to the reward . So it would not make sense to use the offer. Same goes for any of the rewards..... your rate would change to what it would be not using any kind of offer such as the BOGO half off.

Not good news but hope it helps someone. And maybe a different rep would do it otherwise, who knows ! Mine was a guy named Chris.

I have tried 4 or 5 phone calls to RCL & MyVegas and no matter who I talked to, I have been told you cannot add a MyVegas reward to an existing booking. One person told me I would have been able to if I had booked after the rewards started in August, but I am not sure she is correct.

Everyone has told me I would have to cancel & rebook and the reward I was looking at (Ult Beverage Package) is not combinable with any offer aside from a resident rate/military rate. It is not combinable with BOGO, etc. If you try to cancel & rebook after final payment, you have to pay the penalties to cancel the original reservation.

yeah so it is basically worthless !! Bummer !!!

I do not think it is worthless, in my case it is just bad timing. My reservation is a great rate ($1680 CAD for 2 ppl in a Central Park Balcony on the Oasis on Nov 29 2014). It is a Canadian Resident rate so I would have been able to use the MyVegas reward on if they had been available back in Feb 2014 when I booked. I think I might not have received my $150 OBC that I got as part of a WOW promo but I would willingly give up a $150 for a $400+ drink package. I am carefully watching for rates for a March FOS cruise and I hope I get to use the Ultimate Beverage Package.

So is it better to redeem your reward and then book the cruise or vise versa

If you want to use a MyVegas reward, you have to purchase the reward first on MyVegas, then call the 1-800 number you receive in your email to book the cruise.

Brought my redemption email for Ultimate Beverage Package on our Allure cruise last week to try to get it added.

On day one the email was accepted and package added to my card.

Late on day two I received a phone call from beverage manager informing me that it could not be added due to our cruise being booked before August 25th.

I was then given the option of cancelling the package without charge or paying for the remaining 5 days. First two days were free either way.

Just called to apply it to our cruise on Thanksgiving booked on September 25th with a NextCruise certificate - and was told cannot apply there either as the certificate was purchased prior to August 25th.

Also cannot apply to our cruise for next year just booked on Saturday - unless we want to give up our BOGOHO rate. Um, no.

Looking more and more useless every day!

Thanks for the feedback.

I am going out on a limb here, (so please don't crucify me! :() It seems to me that we should contact the MyVegas powers that be with suggestions/requests that they adjust the Royal Caribbean Rewards so that we can actually use the rewards! Personally, it doesn't make sense to me that we would have to book through them, if we already have a travel agent and want to use one of their rewards.

Thanks again for your responses and feedback. Please keep posting your experiences and hopefully we can all use the rewards soon! :)

Many, many, complaints and comments have been sent into myVegas support as well as numerous postings on the various myVegas game forums concerning how useless the rewards are. Only response I have ever read from myVegas to any of these postings are that the issuer (cruise line) can interpret and change terms and conditions as they desire and are totally out of the control of myVegas to influence or direct change. When they first came out the rewards were "nonfundable" and at least all the complaints had that changed to make them refundable since most could not be used. Hopefully, the experience with these rewards will enable myVegas to better negotiate future rewards they offer.
