diamondcharl Posted August 28, 2014 #101 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Loving your review! Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous! You have a very good eye. We loved the Fascination! Probably my favorite ship I have been on. Can't wait to read more.
marshhawk Posted August 28, 2014 #102 Share Posted August 28, 2014 Thank you for your review, I am boarding the Fascination In November, cruising with a friend, as hubbies health fell apart this year and he is not able to cruise with me, but the cruise was paid for in full. This will be my fourth time on the Fascination, I just love this ship. Except the noise level on the lido has been in the past outrageously loud-how was it on this cruise? I think your photos of the ship, especially of your morning docking in Nassau are wonderful. The golden of the light, on the water and decks is wonderful. I am looking forward to more of your review, don't lose momentum. The Sanddollar is a fabulous restaurant now. It was great, then sold, then not so good and then it burned and then the old owners bought it back, and brought it back. Music on the decks on the weekend, great food, good prices, only proving that through ruin rises greatness. Hugs to your family, I am so sorry about the loss of your son. But you are right, he is with you, always with you. How did Ryan get on with the young adults group on the ship? Were there more kids his age? Did he make friends? Cant wait for the end of this story!

Cant wait for the end of this story! Thanks for following along. We love the Fascination!! Ryan enjoyed going to club O2, when there was something that he liked to do. He loves the midnight swims and dodge ball games. He makes friends rather easily, though sometimes he likes to be by himself. He says he will miss it once he turns 18. Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #114 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Hello again gang! We continue with our day in Nassau. At this point, Ryan parted ways with us to do some shopping. Patti and I bought our tickets for the Ferry over to Paradise Island. The cost is $8. per person, round trip. You board the ferry right across the street from Sharkeez, seen here in the picture….. Here’s the very popular Senor Frog’s. We’ll be visiting there later….. The Carnival Fascination and the Disney Dream docked in Nassau, the only two ships in port today….. Here is our “tour guide”. They don’t work for the ferry company, so they rely on tips. He gave an interesting and somewhat funny narrative….. Here are a couple of views along the Paradise Island shoreline….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #115 Share Posted August 30, 2014 The Disney Dream in Nassau….. A couple of more views as we make our way over to Paradise Island….. A couple of views of the Atlantis resort….. Looking back at the Fascination and Disney Dream docked in Nassau….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #116 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Here are the bridges over to Paradise Island. I can remember when there was only one….. The Atlantis Resort….. Here is the 25 thousand dollar a night, Bridge Suite….. Here are a few views of the Marina as we sailed by….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #117 Share Posted August 30, 2014 The ferry docks virtually under one of the bridges….. This the view from the ferry dock….. Once you get off the ferry, it’s about a ten minute walk to reach the Marina Village shops. Of course, they have a Johnny Rockets….. We’re walking through the Marina Village shops….. A view of the Marina itself…… I don't know about you, but I'm craving some ice cream..... To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #118 Share Posted August 30, 2014 To be continued….. We are now inside the Atlantis Resort, and here are some pictures of some of the glass sculptures that they have….. Patti strikes a pose….. A couple of views of the Water Park Lagoon….. To be continued…..
marshhawk Posted August 30, 2014 #119 Share Posted August 30, 2014 I love the Chihuly glass, I think that would be the only reason to go over to the other side. (Paradise Island)
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #120 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Wonderful Sea Horse art work….. A view of the Atlantis Resort and the Water Park….. Here is the Lagoon Bar and Restaurant…… That’s me up on the balcony….. I can hear the water flowing over the rocks….. Great picture of Patti and the Water Park….. To be continued….. Crusin Karen Posted August 30, 2014 #121 Share Posted August 30, 2014 Beautiful pictures Jamman. LOVE the heart shaped window on the boat in the lst picture. Maybe another sign of love from Kevin. :) I can't imagine Nassau with only 2 ships in port! A GHOST TOWN!:eek:
Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #122 Share Posted August 30, 2014 We’re heading back through the Marina Village….. There are a lot of nice yachts here….. Patti’s found a new friend….. We finished our walk, and boarded the first ferry back to Nassau. We have a different “tour guide” this time, although he gave the same spiel as the first one, only in reverse! Once off the ferry, it’s only a short walk over to Senor Frog’s….. Patti is a double fisted drinker! Just kidding, the green one’s mine….. To be continued….. Rare Jamman54 Posted August 30, 2014 Author #123 Share Posted August 30, 2014 We love the ceiling “art” here….. Great view of the ships from here….. There’s always someone dancing on the tables….. This is our new best friend….. Truer words were never spoken….. To be continued…..
