We are taking a four night cruise on VOS and was wondering if I will feel uncomfortable with just a shirt and tie on formal night. I'm trying to get everything into a carry on and the suit is a killer. I don't want to be out of place.

Dress on formal night runs the gamut, you will see people from very casual to tux.

A lot of people don't dress up and you have a tie better than a lot would do

Excellent question - as I have recently purchased down-sized luggage and figured I might have to wear my sport coat to the dock and hang it up till Formal nights.

Typically on short cruises, the formal dress is toned down by a bit. A shirt and tie will be among the norm of others dress.
