ms. Rotterdam should have left Rotterdam about 2 hrs ago and is still at the dock. There is a long boat next to her - divers? maintenance? Also, she docked nose forward this morning - usually she turns in the river before docking.

Sailaway addicts might have something to watch. View from Erasmus Bridge is good and it is a beautiful evening there.

We sailed into Rotterdam in the early o'dark morning and I stood on our verandah the whole time. It is one of my favorite memories. Something very touching that I have never forgotten occurred while I was out alone on the verandah with my light.

The ship just sailed off. Often the captain (or any officer) makes the decision how the ship will dock, mostly because of possible repairs etc.

Since this time the ship has 2 seadays, the delay will be no problem.
