trixiegal Posted November 21, 2014 #106 Share Posted November 21, 2014 I'm very sorry about your mom. Please know that I'm praying for you even though I don't know you. I lost my mom at the tender age of 18, so I know how precious that time with her is when you have it! Your reviews are perfect. I hope we cross paths one day because I enjoy a cocktail or three when I'm on a cruise but never seem to find anyone fun like you to hang out with. My kids are teens and even if they were of age they wouldn't want to hang out with me- reformed party girl. The apples fell far from the tree when it comes to being into parties lol Sent from my iPhone using Forums

maureencruiser Posted December 21, 2014 Author #108 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Hi ! We don't forget you... I hope everything are fine ! Cheers from Paris ! ;) :) Mais oui! :) Hi Frenchy and Merry Christmas to you. I promise I will be back and finish my review, Sorry to let down my faithful fan, fans? :D Mom is still struggling, she is ready to go and doesn't understand why God won't just take her. I'm doing the best I can to keep her happy and content. I am embarrassed it is taking me so long to finish, I pop in here late at night sometimes and post a few responses to threads, but, the work of going through my notes and the Compasses and my pictures just seems like so much trouble right now. :( Sorry......:(

maureencruiser Posted January 5, 2015 Author #115 Share Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks everybody for your kind words and your patience. I'm going to try to post a little, at least finish out St Maarten! Here is a picture of the Divina dwarfing the Guavaberry Shop. You gotta love the classic lines of the Disney ships. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a cruise on one of them. Love on the rocks.... (in my best Neil Diamond voice) My notes say after getting back onboard I got snacks from the buffet then took a nap. The cruise is so long ago now that I don't remember either of those things. :o There had been a thread here this summer where one poster lambasted another for saying there was chicken parmesan on the menu. How we end up fighting on here about such mundane things I'll never know. But, I took this picture of the dinner menu to put that matter to rest. You're welcome, whomever you are that was accused of being a chicken liar.
maureencruiser Posted January 5, 2015 Author #116 Share Posted January 5, 2015 A nice fruit plate. Well, this doesn't match any of the items listed on the menu, I must have ordered steak off the everyday menu. Unless this is the chicken parmesan in disguise? I snuck a picture of our waiter and assistant waiter while they weren't paying attention. The waiter is on the right. He was getting off the ship the same day we were and going home to see his son for the first time. Oops, maybe I'm not as stealthy as I think. So silly! He was worried about missing the first six months of his son's life. One of my tablemates, a grandmother herself, told him not to worry, that if you're going to miss any time, the first six months are the best. I believe she said, They don't do much anyway and they don't remember anything. Of course, she said it much nicer than I just did. He really seemed less anxious after talking to her, it was a nice moment.
maureencruiser Posted January 5, 2015 Author #117 Share Posted January 5, 2015 I'm so out of rhythm on posting that I forgot I was keeping tracks of my receipts! I had to go find them. Let the record reflect I had 2 glasses of wine before dinner and took a glass with me to the dining room. It looks worse than that on the receipts which show one glass at 4:59, one at 5:42 and another at 5:48! I guess I was really slugging them down! :D Ok, back to dinner- this looks like blueberry cheesecake to me. The show that night was Witches of Paris and I loved it! It was my favorite, lots of dancing and acrobatics. After the show, I went back to the Piazza for some hot chocolate and 2 cannoli. So simple, so elegant. I could get spoiled by this. That night, up on deck it was the White Party, lots of dancing, etc. Everybody had a really good time, I may have had another glass of wine (or two). ;) Then, you know where I went after that! The buffet, where I had another glass of wine (or two). :D Then, I was so stuffed, I rolled down to my cabin to go to bed. My tally for today- 7 glasses of wine- $41, 1 bottle of water- 1.75, hot chocolate and cannoli- 6.10= total 48.85.

Jenna1983 Posted January 19, 2015 #122 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Enjoying looking at the review so far. I'm a tad worried about starving to death on Divina in Europe (Europe in general) as I'm allergic to tomatoes and peppers. Everything has tomatoes/red sauce on it! gahhh! Do they do any salads on the buffet that aren't pre-made?
cynt Posted January 23, 2015 #123 Share Posted January 23, 2015 Hey Cruise Bestie, glad to see you're back. Keep me posted for your 2015 cruises. I think I'm cruising Carnival Breeze Thanksgiving week. They're cruising the itinerary that I've been wanting to try - Curaco, Aruba, Dominica. Waiting for a great sale so I can book it.
