Adding excursions - Balance due (Carnival)

Our cruise is 6 months away. We have a balance due. My question is, if we add any excursions thru Carnivals site, do they get added to the balance due or do we have to be at zero balance in order to add any excursions? (Sorry if that's a dumb question).

By balance due, do you mean the final payment amount?

 

If so, you can book excursions. You will have to pay for the excursions when you book them

Yes, you can book them anytime they're available.

When you book excursions on the Carnival website, you pay at that using a credit or debit card, regardless of whether there's a balance due on your cruise fare or not.

 

If you book shorex onboard, they're added to your onboard account.
